So how does this have 70 posts in 9 hours?
The very best part about this thread is ullumulu openly denying germany starting ww2.
Holy fuck, he literally went for super axis fanboy god blue here.
I got that DBS reference
Although it can be debated when WW2 started because of things like the 2nd Sino-Japanese war occuring long before the invasion of poland, most people agree that WW2 started when Germany AND the Soviet Union invaded poland. |
Come out from under the "muh 1v1 muh 1% playerbase" rock and realize that axis is OVERPOWERED in teamgames
I can apply the same logic as you, just switch a few words around.
And 51% wr, 1% can be considered RNG roll of the dice so its basically not a proper fact. But assuming you never finished college and actually took math classes u probably don't know how statistics work. And lets face the reality that wehr is basically a better soviet faction with same diversity but better units.
meanwhile okw and wehr autowin 2/3 of the time unless they face soviets...but thats okay.
Man you really have no idea how statistics work....or why axis are better in 4v4... even AFTER I explained it to you in another thread... but of course, lets balance the game around 4v4 casuals which each and every one of them think something different is overpowered. Yes that'll work brilliant. You're also more than welcome to point me in the direction of the $14,000 4v4 tournies holding this games competitive scene.
Ostheer has better units must be why soviets had an above 50% winrate vs both axis factions, which are both considered viable. Meanwhile both axis factions winrates are inflated because they played against 2 factions which are considered by most as unviable (UKF) or too risky (USF).
But again, considering you probably have a PhD, I can see why this is difficult. |
So much true that I wonder why USF isn't top1 pick during tournament. Hell their late game is completely OP by your description.
You're more than welcome to disprove my post with an actual scenario or we can just go back to "USF bad, buff pls!" |
I mean that's just red flag, siren, defcon 1. Say you put it up vs the Ost P4, load the HVAP. You run into these stats:
Ost P4:
Target size: 22
Pen: 125/115/110
Accuracy: 0.05/0.0375/0.025
Reload: 5.3/5.7
Armor: 180
Moving accuracy debuff: 0.5
76mm Sherman:
Target size: 22
Pen: 220/180/165
Accuracy: 0.06/0.425/0.035
Reload: From 4.1/4.5 -> 5.6/6.0
Armor: 160
Moving accuracy debuff: 0.75
And these tanks have very similar price in fuel IIRC. Mech sherman is like 125F I think? Don't remember if that is being changed.
Anyways say you catch that p4 where it has to traverse its turret 90 degrees. That's 1.5/2 seconds where you don't fire and that small reload gap just closed on the opening shot. That is game over for that panzer 4 unless it has an AT gun there to swing the favor. On the move? Sherman FAR better odds to win the engagement. Close the distance? Guaranteed pen unless P4 is vet 2+. The HVAP is just simply too good, giving bonus accuracy that matches panthers, exceedingly good penetration far better than any other current medium except maybe the Ez8 IIRC (not counting panthers, pershing and comet), and the draw back of 1.5 second reload is minimal, since its reload is so good anyways. That also says nothing about its veterancy, which is insanely good in the rate of fire department.

Current Accuracy and Penetration numbers are for 76mm HVAP are:
HVAP
Accuracy: 0.06/0.425/0.035
Penetration: 220/180/165
Regular Ammo:
Accuracy: 0.05/0.0375/0.025
Penetration: 140/130/120
165??? WutFace HOLY HELL |
Huh, Sherman 76 finally has a proper role besides from the regular Sherman and EZ8. I think this is a wonderful change and the vet changes will make sure this tank isn't necessarily broken but a challenge to heavier armor. I think mechanized might be pretty darn prevalent against OKW from now on
(Even more prevalent than the M3 HT cheese atm)
I haven't done any testing yet but does anyone know if this unit will now consistently pen Panthers or Tigers frontally?
Personally no, but I wish they weren't so vague on abilities like that HVAP. Just placing the pen values there goes a long way into discussion. |
People complaining about concrete bunkers doctrine overshadowing other doctrines, when the exact same person told me
There will always be strong doctrines
except this time its on the axis side..... huh weird...... |
Huh. .35 is around the norm for bolt action rifles though right?
Kar 98 is 0.5, M1 Garand is 0.6, I believe the mosin is also 0.5. Essentially don't run and gun with sections. And the easy 8 does have scatter on the move. All USF tanks currently have 0.75 moving accuracy debuff while moving. |
I disagree with the idea of overwhelming your opponet with armor for the purpose of this thread. If you're trying to out flank and dive a scott, there will be a jackson there to stop you. Your target then becomes the jackson, not the scott. If you're able to get off 3 shots through smoke canister while not risking losses from the jackson I'd be impressed. So impressed that I'd say it was probably the USF players fault, or the unit got caught pathing or something. You simply don't have enough time to all in like that with the threat of snares and jacksons and skill smoke, as i'm sure everyone loves to experience vs ostheer. |
Maybe its that in 1v1 USF doesn't have a teammate to provide support and cover up the flaws with USF. Cuz I agree if you look at individual units of USF they all appear strong. Best AI medium, arguably best scaling mid to late game infantry, best td, solid mg, good indirect options decent commander options for elite infantry/doctrine call ins. I find in team games USF does pretty decently as it transitions into its mid to late game power faster. Maybe its an issue with USF designed to brawl out and win trades yet Grens and Volks outtrade early-mid into powerful axis LV play which bleeds a ton of mp/ USF early game is super punishing if you make mistakes.
If someone who knows why USF is preforming so poorly in 1v1 could explain it that would be nice.
It's the tech structure, and that's it. If you gave USF their HMG, AT gun, and pak howi all in t0, they'd only be really lacking a flamer. Their tech structure is just so bad though they get ham stringed by either kiting lights of the luchs or flamer HT, or can't hold off the mass volks spam because they went CPT. And relying on zooks alone for AT is a big no no. |
