Urgh...well the unit in question was originally ostheer but is now okw, so can't i just use some okw speech codes? And to avoid it mentioning the actual unit that i'll borrow the codes from, can't i just set it to use some generalized speech codes? (seeing as there are speaker_generic, speaker_specific, speaker_specific_alt, speech_code_2 and speech_code_3) |
Wow, it seems that you actually can't remove veterancy...I tried doing a veterancy action with a negative number of experience points...it didn't do anything. I also tried apply_modifier > entity_veterancy_experience_modifier, but that wouldn't even add veterancy in the first place.
Have you guys had any luck removing vet, and if so, what am i missing? |
Bummer...so can i at least apply some generalized speech codes for the given squad, where it doesn't mention a specific squad's name?
Alternatively, couldn't i import the sound files into the mod and just classify them as being part of that other faction? |
So i have some units that i've put in a different faction, and as such, they have gone silent. Is there any way to get them to work across factions (both the specific and the generalized ones)?
Also, is there an index over the different codes and their corresponding audio queues? |
Thx for the replies. The thing i want to do is remove all of a squad's veterancy when it enters or exits a vehicle. I tried the driver_action method (tho i didn't change target, i don't think it's needed?), the target_occupants method and the recrew_penalty method, but i can't get it to work.
What am i missing? |
Hi, i have an upgrade that should determine whether or not a given squad is currently the crew of a vehicle. Problem is that i don't know if there is even a requirement check that does that.
Do you guys know? |
SOLVED: Ok, so it turned out that the relinking stuff didn't work ON THE SAME ABILITY/UPGRADE. Instead i had to clone the given ability or upgrade with a new name, and then link the unit to that new clone. |
I have a problem with some upgrades in my mod. When clicked in-game, they will show up on the production queue for a split second but then cancel themselves. I've already checked that all the requirements are met (i shouldn't be able to click the upgrades anyway, if they weren't met). I have been told that the upgrades need to be unlinked and then relinked to the given unit, because of some sort of file corruption or something. I've tried doing that, but it doesn't seem to help.
Has anyone experienced this and found the root of the problem? |
There ya go. Not a custom portrait. The upgrade was first set in the ebps, but i also tried in the sbps, no difference. Also, the symbol change works just fine. |
