Just a quick shoutout to the casual allied gamers in 4v4.
Thanks for being part of the 10% player base in 4v4 game searches.
As there a so few allied players we always find ourselves up against much higher ranked opponents and its generally terrible lately.
I don't know how but perhaps the balance team can spare a thought and throw us casual allied players a bone next patch.
Yours truly (with a bag of pool salt)

Unfortunately this is the reality.

Hey guys,
I pretty much only use guards if I know i have good garrison and need to use PTRS to fire at luchs. Otherwise guards get shredded out in the open.
Thoughts? |
I think we're all missing the point here.....
Dive bombs were used on static targets or large slow moving naval targets. Therefore a giveaway such as flares or a plane or visual plane (Brit bombers) enabling mobile targets to get away is fair enough. There shouldn't be any secrets. Its role is dealing with static howitzers and emplacements.
Easy one to be fixed

I would like to offer the following advice, which should help team game balance and theoretically not even be too much of a big change for 1v1 meta:
1. Tiger II should be a call-in tank, only available to certain doctrines for 14-15 CP. I don't think it's fair that every OKW commander can get one if they so choose. It doesn't make sense that it's more "common" in team games than a Tiger I.
2. The Tiger II and Jagdtiger really should not be respawnable if they die, similar to the Tiger Ace and how they worked in Coh 1.
3. Tier 4 artillery pieces and call-in artillery like land mattresses and calliope's should be limited to 2 per player on the field at any given time.
4. Mortar pits should be limited to 2 per player MAX. I think 1 per player would even be reasonable.
5. IMO the Jackson and M10 should be swapped, with the Jackson being a call-in commander unit and the M10 being the T4 american TD (at a much cheaper cost, with perhaps some buffs). Like the Tiger II rarity comment above it doesn't make much sense for the M36 to be so much more common than the M10.
6. KV-2 buff
7. Increase fuel and munitions depots (or maybe just fuel?) to 250-300 manpower each. They're always spammed hard in 3v3-4v4.
As you can see, most of my suggestions revolve around armor spam on both sides (and artillery spam for allies).
If you don't agree with my suggestions I would honestly like to hear why. I am open minded, these are just my observations off the top of my head.

excellent ideas |
Lel, if you lose penals to Grens/Volks, you're doing something horribly wrong.
T70 is still very potent since they fixed its inconsistentcy, much better than the Luchs mind you
Give them a dropped weapon and see them become commandos
IS2 is good, what the hell are you smoking, good stats all around and better than the KT/Tiger lol
uninstall pls |
Agree the DSHK is a strong MG but just look a little more closely into the commander options before you pour salt everywhere.
You have to choose and choose it early, often without exactly knowing what your opponent has chosen.
Its an early to mid game gamble.... If your opponent has chosen this you know they wont have decent call ins or artillery for a strong late game. |
Me too. It takes way too long to suppress vetted volks and literally gets fausted to death in my experience lol.
Would be nice to think that getting hit by a M1 automatic 37 millimeter auto cannon and two 12.7 mm M2 Browning heavy machine guns would be enough to suppress a squad. Personally i'd take cover hey what would I know! |
Speaking of decals..............
It would be awesome to be able to click and name your tanks each game as you build them and that be seen by allied and enemy players. (voluntarily)
I.e Robert Dicks Sherman was called "CUTTHROATS" because he was in C division while fighting in the Pacific.
Would easily add some personality to the game and the community
May help casters by having names for the tanks
Funny ruse would be to build 2 tanks and give them the same name! |
JT 85 range to the elephant 70. Elephant has 100% pen against every allied tank except the IS2 which has 375 armor and the elephants pen is 360/400/440. So at max range the IS2 has 4% chance to bounce a shot.
I wouldn't rely on http://coh2chart.com yet because players are still adapting to the meta and people who are less informed are still trying to figure out the best cheese to abuse to boost their ranks.
I get what you are saying but it's surely more objective than a salty rant - better to let the objective facts do the talking. |
