I have to say that I'm a big fan of the OKW changes in 1.3 of the DBP - I think overall the balance team did a good job of nerfing the more cancerous aspects of OKW while buffing the things that needed buffed especially SturmPios, Raketen, Falls, and Obers.
PS. I'm so sad that Airborne didn't make the cut for the Commander Revamp - Recon and Mech were no-brainers but a buff to Pathfinders and P-47 would have been a huge boon to that commander (and buffed Jackson means you can get by with stock armor A LOT easier).
I'm still sad the Jackson was nerfed to 160 dmg per shot, hopefully they will fix HVAP to make up for it, then the unit would be better off than it was before. |
After doing some Math, if the HVAP rounds bugs were fixed, the new Jackson will perform better at it's intended role without deleting Mediums as many people feared it would, it's gonna work better now as that thing has beastly Veterancy. |
Is the HVAP reload/aim time bug fixed? It might be a good trade off if so. |

If okw don't go for luchs it will get rekt by riflemen. It's like the same thing as preparing for a clown car, bren carrier, etc., there is no counter for it, but to buy raketen.
Reason for luch, is because it's the only way to survive, like you said, when VonIvan went non USF meta he got rekt. Luch is meta for OKW. Play non meta OKW and get destroyed.
The thing is that OKW kit as it stands is so complete that Commanders for them are boosts, not there to fill in holes in the faction which in turns give them more versatility than USF, which is supposed to be one of their strengths much like Early Game when OKW can spank you silly Early Game and then Late Game as well. |

He's right, what's even more overpowered are Ostheer's medkits. You can heal a whole squad for 20 munitions! Why wouldn't you do that instead of building a permanent healing bunker for 60 munitions.
Seriously though what Dane doesn't understand is that USF has a lot of tools but not "Necessary" tools. They are a faction that has a lot of micro tools and abilities to pull off some really cool stuff, but they lack key tools that other factions have. Late game In-direct fire(without commander) for example, no amount of micro can make up for not having that tool.
OKW going Defensive and putting a Pak43 and/or Howitzer around their Flak HQ, good luck breaking that without the RNG bombs of Armor being guided by Yahveh himself, while they wait for their KT. |

I tested Priest and he was very good actually with DBP. Creeping barrage is actually usefull and the AoE is way better now.

Hmm I can understand that in team games but not in 1v1s but I suppose they did state they wanted to help balances team games. REs do need their reinforcement cost lowered too even though they do follow the standard reinforcement formula. If they had lower reinforcement cost then I'd use them more myself but given Rifles only cost 3 or so MP it's not a hard choice for a combat unit.
Panthers are not an issue in 1vs1 or even 2vs2 but they are dominant in teamgames so they are getting nerfed, it's just how it goes, different modes but into the same bag of balance.
I also think REs should be 20 MP to reinforce, then it would be more likely to have 2 of them due to their low upkeep for extra utility. |
