They seem to be pretty darn strict on munitions too with a great many expensive abilities in comparison to other factions. Not to mention that basic upgrades also cost fuel.
It will be interesting to play it again with the fixes to the 25pdrs. Does Concentration Barrage utilise the Anvil airburst shells?
I can see the new counter barrage being more situationaly useful and the commander doesn't appear to have anything to offer except for the 4CP one, though some of us do like our artillery whatever the situation.

Got about 400 hours on the Brits. I'll try the UC against garrisons ( again) though posting about anti-garrison and showing a video of it, very slowly, beating a Volkswagon Beetle doesn't make much sense to me.
Might sound bonkers but as you need two to pin having the Vickers in the grey area of 'almost stops but still gets a grenade in the face' is no use. Particularly nasty for new players though with no counterplay possible there isn't much you can do about it.
Better to reduce it's suppression and reduce the price maybe.
Or better reduce the suppression and give the UC a realistic suppressing role.

As far as I can tell the MG42 wins, however the Vickers squad with nerfed Lee Enfields beats the MG42 squad with MP40s by inches.

Yep, denies, kills and suppresses. The reason it doesn't vet though is due to the fear factor of facing one, it has a pop at a squad and is then either overwhelmed later in the game or ignored.
The UC though has rather low vetting requirements, it doesn't vet because it doesn't kill jack, doesn't deny, doesn't protect squads inside and doesn't really help in any way, other the providing some temporary green cover once it goes up in flames.
Best garrison clearer really? We must be playing different games. Asking a UC to fire on a squad in green cover seems to result in 1 model killed after about 30 seconds. It might distract a garrison but it certainly doesn't clear them.
