You had really good early game. Will just point things out. You knew he went bofors really early. You can ignore his emplacements, just keep him from building placements on critical spots on the other 2 VP.

1. You had double fuel, rush pzIV. Better dps on emplacements than panther (which comes too late)

2. You had sniper and PAK + mortar halftrack. You didn't use sniper to give vision early game for PAK to attack the Bofors, but tried to attack ground to darkness, which isn't good. The sniper was putting vision when u had nothing to attack it. You could have used MG to guard pak+sniper. a)Sniper vision&Kill repair infantry b) PAK attack bofors c) Mortar normal barrage it. When it hits brace u keep firing, but when about 30s gone, you use incendiary barrage on it, and it's gone. Rinse and repeat. Just try notice if he barrage your PAK with mortar emplacement/bofor barrage.

3. You could have build 222 to keep you information on the left side, he just capped you with infantry section or 1 vickers, which 222 could have fended off.

4. You used ammunition for Grens for lmg, when u need those ammos for incendiary shots for your mortar halftrack. You could have even gone for second mortar halftrack. Or rather you should have rushed P4 to pressure his mortars from the side or make sure the bofors go down...

5. Engineer with flamer, when he hit brace you could have gone to the building and flame the bofors down.

One thing I noticed that you have to keep tabs on what the brit player is doing, even sometimes not using sniper for anything else but give vision. 222 with HP buff can easily keep flanks, even more easy with 2x222's. And if you get Bofors down, you can rush with 222's to pressure his mortar emplacements, they go down pretty fast and if Brace. You again wait it to almost go off, then incendiary barrage it down.

Hope this help atleast little. But against emplacements, it's never good choice go t4 fast...

ps. About counter barrage, when you are putting your leFH down use it's range marker to see if it can fire to brits HQ buildings, if it can then you are in range of his counter barrage. So try building it so far away that you can't fire his HQ, then you don't get counter barraged.

pss. Stug / panther with spotting scope should be able to fire at max range without being fired back. But need to be in that max range.

You can compare it any way you want. We can throw in obers too. Point was, game does not calculate the efficiency of a unit on its cost. Anyway, I think I am derailing this thread. Back on topic, I know emplacements can be countered but it is sort of pain for okw early game. It is not impossible but the commander gives IS ability to build bofors and other emplacements which can cause pain to okw early on. Late game, emplacements are joke.

On topic my point still is that counter barrage is just too free&powerful on this commander. Not like it can't be in the commander it just needs balancing which will be in like 3 months from now that lelic understand why people rage here about it

In the end my main point is that in a game that everything should cost something. A free powerful ability is very bad game balance choice.

And before screaming even more that something is free on allied side, let me remind you that both axis armies have NOT A SINGLE SIDE UPGRADE TO MANAGE THEIR ECONOMY AS EVERY SINGLE ALLIED ARMY.

Yes yes, know already u are allied fanboi...so that covered. USF&UKF don't need to "build" tech buildings and they don't need to tech & build. Side upgrades don't cost that much (weaponrack/grenade, not talking about bofor/aec) and sometimes u don't even need them.

The point is of counter barrage, it's free, u don't have to micro, wait cooldowns. Click&forget, so easy to use. Compared to other side if u know your opponent has it, when ever u even try to use indirect you will get pounded by 1-2 shots of artillery very fast. RNG being the name of this game, u might get insta wiped when u autofire by mistake on some unit that come to range and 25pounder insta wipe your unit ---> because RNG. It's micro heavy to other side and non-micro for other side.

Just make it have cooldown/cost something and it's much more balanced. The point is that with cancer pits & counter barrage ---> useless to even try to use any indirect for opponent.

OKW don't have side tech, but they need to build truck --> build base
OST upgrade tier --> building costs.

USF --> free squads for teching (Cover the cost of side tech). No need for building.
UKF --> free from building & get all units open faster. Allied mirror of Ostheer with alot of more extra abilities than any other faction.
Soviet --> no tier teching, but buildings stop from going straight to max tier.

ps. Just pointless to try saying side tech cost too much, because u upgrade them if you need them, not like you have to get them.

pss. So get Katitof fanboyism to full speed, axis don't have OP OP weapon racks...

I think the weapon just instantly change hands when models die, so they don't drop it. So the LMG models do die...

mg42 vs maxim on non-green cover = maxim pin mg42 first or atleast cause both to be pinned totally.

So a-move maxim to fight mg42, when pinned. Oraah cons to flank or just walk to it and force it to retreat. If really makes you so much trouble, just get molotovs and focus getting muni early game. 1 cons oraah/molotov will force relocate when u can bring another squad or maxim to force retreat on mg42 and molotov > garrison.
