I've tried seeing how many AA quad halftracks it takes to shoot down/counter the flare and honestly the results were.....not good. Not good at all. Same vs the Royal artillery flares too. So perhaps we need to buff AA? Because surely the flares aren't uncounterable? In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Team Weapons Survivability2 Jul 2020, 13:38 PM I see this as more of an issue for UKF and USF as they lack rocket artillery of their own. While I would like to see more support weapon usage across the board if rockets arty didn't counter it reliably AT walls would be insufferable. For the late game I usually use AT guns as part of a layered defence and try to move them after each encounter. Unless I'm against OKW where I ditch support weapon play once a stuka hits the field as that thing just cancels them out. In: COH2 Balance

Even if you have both fuels, all VPs and caches on every point you can still lose by throwing all your tanks against a wall of AT guns for the sake of attacking. All it takes is for your teammates to lose the bulk of their panthers and suddenly a T34 has broken out and racing for your unprotected rocket artillery. Lastly, if you have a style of play that is counterproductive (like refusing to build tanks or only using T70s) then keep that shit in 1v1 rather than potentially ruining the match for 7 other people. Thread: "Close the pocket" OP? 29 Jun 2020, 15:42 PM With an arranged team on redball/whiteball express this is pretty easy to pull off, although everything is pretty easy if you're an arranged team vs randos. You just have to call storm troopers in on the house hidden in each of the corners and hide until you have pzshreks to destroy any caches for one side. Then try use storms/pz4 rush with the fuel ability on the other point. Even easier if there are no caches or two players using the same commander. It's very situational though and the commander is very distinctive on the loading screen, so if I see him I always keep a close eye on the cut-off points. Most of the time it will just result in the Encirclement player throwing units away trying to decap points behind enemy lines. So all in all I think it's fine. In: COH2 Balance

We play mostly 4v4 (his preference) and have decided to try something different. Admittedly 4v4 seems to be plagued by arranged full teams of try hards/larpers these days so its harder to stray from the meta unless getting trapped in base is your fetish but whatever. Open to any wacky/different suggestions so long as they are semi-viable and don't ruin the game utterly for our team. In: Lobby
