I feel like the range limits just dont make sense we have weapons of war here that don't just stop shooting at a certain range because some dev decided it. They're like subjective as hell.
Buffing range on at guns and static emplacements would be cool, but then, they would have to do that to counters or something to balance it out. Also if you buff the range on the pak and it can shoot through everything that will make it OP to some. |
Well I think that's cool because it would be a bit much and I don't think it was able to fire it's main IRL.
Although it's a bit late to tell them to make it a munition upgrade on vehicles, because relic doesn't change their mind on things this late and plus they are already working on balancing the commander and call in, I think it's a spectacular idea. It makes sense, adds to the USF some barrage unit that it could use, and basically just gives them more capability. Maybe too much, and that's why they made it commander specific? |

They should add fuel but the reality is the ace isn't as great as people think. Try playing sigh it a few times and see if it's instant win. It's not and I haven't kept it in my roster for quite some time. The Ace is slow, it's turret is slow in rotating. It comes super late so using your commander's superior help that came much earlier you should have the advantage in resources, armor and AT. Lay mines down along major paths so when it comes if you aren't in a position to take it down you can make a soft retreat back through mines. If mines don't work, remember the TA is slow so just hold the VP's where he isn't and you have 2 of 3. Finally while TA is out, kill infantry at every opportunity as the MP reinforcement cost with the Ace drain will cripple his supporting troops.
I agreee, by the time the ace comes out, generally speaking, the momentum of the game is already sliding in one direction. Also if the allies are aware that you are using the commander it will give them all game to get ready to counter it. Also it's so f*cking slow, in games with good players it won't make as big a difference as a game with poor players. Like luvnest saved his game with a tiger ace I have as well but the opponent wasn't that good. |
cas is godsend for wehr, mechanized assault group can come save day if you time it well enuff. CAS is crucial for german win i take? (sic) what do you guys think? it is just so helpful

Mirage has said nothing but the truth, lol. Very helpful to keep infantry moving with a vehicle while it's being shot at, a lot of people don't think about this. It was a major meta with the OKW truck earlier in the games history when they were stroinger and able to destroy buildings.
What I do is rush for some sort of vehicle supremacy like P4 or panther while having a good set of grendaiers or volksgrens with some sort of combined arms support like a pak or mg's that I try to keep relocating.
I'd imagine one of the commanders with spotting scope could do wonders as a scout car, p4, or panther could see the approaching units before they approach. Allowing you to react accordingly. I've never tried this although I will right now. I just heard it's a really good strategy. (sic)
Back to my main point, vehicle rush is key here, due to the is design with no seperate turrent it can be taken advantage of like a drunk chick by the german mobile armor, it's what they did in history so it's the best bet. The first vehicle out; puma, p4, panther should do alot of damage if it comes out quick or atleast could scare the enemy into not being to aggressive. As soon as you double your armor is when you can assault if you haven't already seized on a strategic opportunity. Atleast that's what I've seen, quantiy > quality, so you can storm that Is-2 down with three puma's,p4
s, or two panthers...as long as you are able to take out the at guns and other anti tank units. {Very important to have smoke on your tanks if you plan on doing that though!} |
