You right ^^ But assg can hit the ground sooner than any other units ( 0 cp needed to deploy) thats why i said Time .
Im not a big fan of assg , but every time i used it i dominated early game .Build One is enough to win your initial advancing through its 5squads with mp40 , above all its fire up allowing to flank early maxim... and then build your own default orders, however this is your choice to consider which unit you are comfortable with it .

What game are you playing? I use Kubels in almost all of my builds They prevent manpower bleed, and are excellent flankers while doing just as much damage as a volks squad first thing. This is especially true at the start of a match where your opponent is still running their next infantry squad from their base; while your kubel is at the front forcing their first squad to retreat.
They also: bait m3/wc51/uc, capture the map faster than allies and translate to a free map hack mid game.
But that requires micro.

They are "snipers" in the sense that their scoped garands automatically insta kill any models below 30% health I think.
