Thread: OKW, pot calling kettle black much? (sim city)1 Oct 2022, 09:49 AM Hi So, this is mostly a scream into the void because of 3 round the corner, but why is it the worst thing ever for the game when the british had the "sim city commander" when okw have had this since day 1, 3 buildings that essentially lock out a sector with no micro required, heal, have a forward retreat point, block pushes (even deter vehicles with that stupid flak), and also repairs vehicles. This coupled with waves of fusils and other facehugging infantry that you have very little to counter with (especially because vickers cant suppress for toffee, which when they get to vet 4 means they just ignore it) makes okw absolute cancer rn. Retreating raks means they get to snipe any emplacements with 0 risk whatsoever, LEIG's that park up next to said sim city and are essentially never going to die unless you pick a hard counter. its incredibly frustrating. Anyways, probably a skill issue for me, admin will lock pretty quick (with good reason), i look forward to seeing myself get roasted by you all. In: UKF Strategies

All of those squads are close-mid range specialists, so you are best to engage them from longer distances as much as possible: attack-move order; LMGs like M1919 or bren for your inf. Support your infantry with HMGs in the background so the G43 squads cannot close the distance is that really the case??, id thought it was a big long range buff as they make the sniper sound effect, and plonking sections,cons or penals behind cover doesnt seem to help (i dont really play USF). Tanks i find lacklustre as both grens and fusilier have snares, and with fusilier 1 or 2 shreks mixed in make short work of my mediums. Mgs work but they only buy a very brief respite and the retreat and recycle time seems very quick so not much ground can be made. Both have grenades so they are very good flankers as well. A blob of 3 fusiliers or grens will usually pick off 2/3 models before 1 can be taken in response. Commandos i guess would work but that is kind of restrictive. (also vet 5 fusiliers are damn near invincible, and they vet fast) In: Strategy Desk
Thread: What is the solution to jaeger spam, both with OKW and OST16 May 2021, 12:11 PM Hi, so i recently came back into the game, and im having real issues dealing with massed jaeger spams that snipe my infantry into half health before they are in range, and faust my vehicles/insta retreat, making them nearly unkillable. No one else is apparently noticing this so its probably something im doing... advice? In: Strategy Desk
Thread: "Vickers is Hopeless For countering blobs" DISCUSS23 Mar 2016, 22:18 PM In my Opinion i have found that the vickers (HMG) Suppression means that Brits have no early game counter to ultra aggressive infantry. The only thing to do is to rush for the sim city bofors which every axis player hates (even though one volks flame gren can kill it if not braced). The suppression is laughable taking (in my experience) at least 2 long bursts before any suppression comes in, by which point grenade is thrown/youve been flanked, making the whole exercise of getting a machine gun pointless. the trade off is supposed to be more damage but thats not what i want my MG for, i want the MG to close of a point to infantry.
