Nice little guide there, thanks
I have been testing around with Open Broadcaster Software in 1080p, and it seems I get more FPS and less lag with it than Xsplit. The only thing is, the quality seems lower than the one in Xsplit when both are at 1080p and quality of 10. Can anyone confirm this?
I mean 60 mb/s down, and 6 mb/s up So keeping this in mind, I always though 4000 kb/s was a pretty safe bitrate to stream with.
I downloaded open broadcast software, chose Amsterdam as the server, and will start testing it. I already bought a 2-year Xsplit license when it was still in beta, so I don't have to worry about that
At the moment I just use xsplit, with the capture screen region. I have CoH in windowed borderless mode.
What do you mean exactly by twitch server? I chose a server in xsplit that is nearest to me (I live in Amsterdam), but at twitch itself there doesn't seem to be an option to choose a server.
My connection is 60 up/ 6 down, and I set my bitrate at 3800.
Hey guys, I wasn't sure where to post this, but I don't know where else.
I currently always stream at 1080p which I love doing, but it still lags a bit at times.
Now I have a friend who owns a Avermedia Live Gamer HD capture card, and for him it really helps in both streaming and capturing, since his CPU gets unloaded.
Now, I have a stronger pc than him.
Will a capture card make any difference for me? I have googled all over the place, but I can't find any examples of people with a similar pc that have switched to a capture card to stream games with (in 1080p).
From the moment I saw that xp elements were implemented in the multiplayer, I knew they would go completely the wrong way with it.
Instead of focusing on true competitive players (better connections, not p2p, spectating), Relic has decided to focus on exclusive skins, gathering xp, and cater to the casuals that want to compstomp and play on chokepoint maps.
I fear this game is dead on arrival, and that this community will let the game fall after only a few weeks. Exactly this same thing has happened to SupCom2.
