I played a lot with brits lately but not emplacement heavy.
My strat is always to rush on fuel or victory point and build a defensive line with sandbags, vickers and Tommies. Wehrmacht has almost no chance to crack such a position early on. Once you got 1 Tommy and 1 Vickers out of T1 and maybe an UC if you have the micro you tec to T2 and get a sniper or pak, once the fuel is there an aec is coming. This happens if you have one fuel around 5-7 min so the 222 have only little use. Aec and a pak as backup and any light vehicle is gone. And youre save till mid game there your cromwells are coming.
In my opinion brits are way stronger if you dont play with heavy emplacements. Brits have all the tools every other army has except from mobile indirect fire, so if you play against them an early mortar is the best thing you can do. |
holy shit what a mess. So just to get it clear.
Vickers K have the same stats like the Tommy variation of the bren gun except the have a better aim time (.05 vs .1). So its better to equip Tommies with Vickers K. On the other hand Sappers and Commandos are better of with Brens from the weapon rack because they get a better version of the Bren gun compared to the Tommy one. Right?

Whats the difference between the Bren lmg from the weapon racks and the vickers k light machine gun? I know that there are different version of the Bren lmg for sappers, and Tommies. And as far as I know the bren is basically a copy of the lmg 42. But with Special Weapons regiment you can get vickers k on your Tommies. They cost the same as brens, and now my question is, if theres a reason to get vickers k over brens on sapper or tommies. From my experience the vickers seems weaker then the bren, but thats just a feeling.

How about making the arty more precise how longer the barrage is going? First it would fit somehow the reality,and second it would make stationary howitzers much better against static emplacements aka simcity. Right now if you barrage at max range only a few shots will hit the target. My idea is that every shell has less scatter then the others, so that to the end of the barrage every shell has nearly pin point accuracy. It wouldn´t be op, because you have a warning, like the red smoke from offmap arty with the first few shoots who are really inaccurate, but then the full power of 102mm shells will be unleashed. Maybe the number of shells should also be increased. Also this will give the howitzers a more defined role as area denial weapons and would differentiate them from rocket arty. |
Anyone noticed, that the landmattress can be destroyed even if the crew is alive? Had a games where two of my landmattresses were destroyed by a Panther without killing the crew. I just wonder if its a bug, because for every other support weapon this isnt possible, or if its intended. |
