What I don't like about this thread, Vaz, - and you should agree, bcs you also play AT, apparently - is that it throws multiplayer into entirely the wrong light.
Instead of starting a thread about the enjoyment of playing multiplayer in AT - with all its advantages - you have chosen to write negatively about Randum (sic) as if this is the way to go. When, palpably, you know full well, or ought to, it is not the way to go.
I am not going to spell out all the advantages of AT right now, bcs you should already know them - and it would be technically off-topic. However, I am completely bemused as to why you would berate Relic for its matchmaking system in multiplayer, when it must be already be clear to you, that anyone wanting to succeed in multiplayer will find an AT. If you're honest, as an AT player, you know you hope for 'Randum' opponents. They dont have the advantage of VOIP, and therefore have no prearranged knowledge or tactics; they have no knowledge of each other's strengths and weaknesses; it is casual in every sense of the word.
You must, in your heart of hearts, know that an AT starts with an advantage; ergo, you must also know that a Randum team does not. Why blether about Randum matchmaking, when you know full well that the Randums start off on the back foot, and are likely to get worse as the game goes on? |
I thought the KV-1 could use something extra aswell in my mod, so I searched a bit and found a state that opens the top-hatch. I made a throw grenade ability which is mostly copied from the Churchill.
The state_machine_name is: "turret_mg42_state",
the do_action_state_name: "ready"
and the undo_action_state_name: "unarmed".

I can give you more info if you're interested.
I guarantee that there will be several interested posters who play SU, who will be interested to read this discovery. |
Fair enough, but my m20 wasn't revealed until after they decided to purchase the minesweepers. I've been playing since 2006, how much more experience do I need?
I've only been playing since 2009, and I am not a top player, but I learnt way back from GR.ORG posts and tourney commentaries that taking a minesweeper is considered a hallmark of a good player. Allowing your first squad to bump a mine before you equip a mine sweeper is chancing it, and could cost you in high level play. |
I missed blizzard so much. This was actually one of the coolest innovations in gameplay. Something new, something different from vCoH. Like TrueSight, like all this little things, which makes winter more real. Now it is in the past.
Also i missed better UI, and better portraits for East factions. I have made some threads to ask Relic to do something with it, but it was screaming on the wall. Some examples, how this portraits looks like:
Except color (red with green), it is looks better for me....
The UI which you are displaying attracted a lot of criticism in threads like this
https://www.coh2.org/topic/1381/coh2-my-review-of-the-alpha-level-ui
The green colour, in particular, was problematic for those suffering from colorblindness.
I have never liked the way the font for the VP ticker was changed to arial. |
Thank you for taking the trouble to post this. However, the Strategists here are not interested in engaging with AI replays.
By all means post a game against a human opponent where you would like feedback, but not against the AI |
This thread has come to an end, at least temporarily
To cite from Gdot:
Seems pretty lame to have a thread talking shit about a guy who is banned from this site and cannot respond
I don't have to go further. We don't kick a man when he's down. Nor do we want to encourage an alternative account from him while in ban.
If the Mods want to cleanse the thread and reopen it, they are welcome so to do.

I never said that the Ace is not a good tank. I even compared it with the KT! (I once got an Ace to 70 kills in a 1v1 like hell, this unit is very powerful). No, again, the Ace's performance is completely fine! No questions about it. However, i'm talking about the penalty things, which no other units suffer from anymore. That penalty thing is just odd now, consider the KT, the unit you can call-in without any penalty but the Ace, share similar power, has to carry such burdens. And then, it's veteran status as well...
To be honest, I have been repeated myself over and over again... but i'm gonna do it one last time: The resource penalties. That's the one i'm targeting, NOT the Ace. The Ace is completely fine in terms of performance (Similar to KT, remember?) but the penalties!... The resource penalties, man!
Jep. But here's the thing -if you tried hard enough as a Designer, you could have a Comet Ace, a KT Ace, ISU 152 Ace, an IS2 Ace, a Pershing Ace etc Take your pick. Whichever you chose as an Ace, it would be a flawed design from the get-go.
Not a bad idea, but that would means an entire new unit added (Bergertiger) which I don't think it can be executed any time soon. Meanwhile, I think the KT is still a more suitable choice: A strong unit but with high CP requirement, high resource requirement (720MP and 260 fuels), it won't be the no-brainer choice since you can get more units by the time the King become available. Basically, do this to remove the old flaw is the main concern, in my opinion, consider it's the last remnant of the old, broken "veteran call-ins"
I apologise in advance. When i suggested a Bergetiger, I was not thinking for one minute that Relic would do this at this stage in the game. I was simply trying to point out that there were better ways of creating strong late-game units, than going for 'Aces'
I accept COH2 is designed primarily for casual players - I don't think it was ever designed to be otherwise - but if you want to keep some element of competitiveness in it, 'Aces' are not the way forward. |
