It would be helpful if you kept the questions to a minimum on tourney days, guys. Ami has enough on his plate right now. You can trust me on that.

Ami has been transparent - he laid it all out in the first cast he ever did for OCF. I know, bcs I was moderating on the cast.. I also know I have tried to answer some of these questions before.

So, to answer your questions, I do not get paid anything for my involvement and nor do the Staff generally.

I have not asked for a breakdown of how the money is applied in COH2.ORG, because it does not worry me. If this event keeps Ami going and making shows, that's fine by me. I have seen the effort he has put in for OCF from the start, and it is a fulltime job, with lots of stress. If the Coders get an honorarium for their magnificent efforts and time applied, that is also fine by me.

TO precis what Ami said on his first cast, if you look at the DOTA prizepool which runs into millions, they split the money 75% to the organiser i.e. the developer, and the other 25% goes in prizes. Our spit is 50/50.

Elite Troops were perceived as P2W apparently. i.e. gaining the vet advantages without working for it. As the long term goal of the forum is to try to achieve e-sports status, which is another subject altogether, it was felt that Elite Troops undermines that ethos.

As there has been a certain amount of disquiet about the exclusions, it may be helpful if I also mention, that the staff thread runs to 6 pages and involves over 40 Staff members contributing to it. The decision was taken on a vote.

This project has involved terrific support from the community and we hope that the interest in it will be widespread. We are most anxious that the game is displayed in its best light

We also know that some people will be disappointed by the decision - that is only natural, since the staff vote itself was not 100% one-sided. To those who are frustrated, i can only apologise. The decision was taken for the greater good and we are as anxious as you are, for the tourney to succeed and to showcase the game. We are conscious that if things went wrong, the blame will lie on our shoulders.

We started the process on the basis of all commanders included and no bulletins. I am afraid that the recent patch problems are what started the discussion, and things spread from there.

After the check-in period, we'll make the brackets on Challonge. Once you find your opponent, you can make your match thread and start your games.
