Any chess players or fans here?
Today is the final round 14 of the World Champion Candidates tournament in London. It's come down to a thrilling finale, with World #1 (2872) Magnus Carlsen (the 22 year oldNO phenom who has been shaking up the chess world since he was 14) sitting on 8.5 points, tied with
RU chess beast Vladimir Kramnik (2810), who also has 8.5 points. The winner will go on to face the current world champion, Vishy Anand, later in the year, for the title of World Chess Champion.
Magnus plays Peter Svidler and Kramnik plays Vassily Ivanchuk. The games start in 5 minutes. There is a live stream with commentary that will cover both matches here:
