i really want the 1v1 map pool to be good
take out these maps:
arnhem checkpoint: too axis favored, just building hop early game and snowball out of control
semois and semois winter: too OKW favored, truck placement is beyond overpowered here, extreme building hopping and lone OKW squads can walk up and always firenade your mg buildings trivially
crossing in the woods: too axis favored, all engagements are long range and mgs lock down way too much area and encourages massive blobbing
minsk pocket: same exact problem as crossing in the woods, but with an even worse additional problem, near unpunishable fuel point
langres: too wehrmatch favored, esp if you get the good spawn
glider: not as axis favored as minsk pocket, but the areas are way too large with minimal cover, encourages blobbing, mg covering giant portions of the map, and buildings are badly placed for the north player, south player has big advantage
i have arnhem checkpoint, semois summer, minsk, and crossing in the woods on veto, but i just dont have enough for the rest, everytime i play something like semois winter its just a dickslap to my face |

how do you deal with this commander in 1v1, with any faction
UKF: immediately get rolled because you cannot outcap them and and they are swarming your cutoff in buildings or green cover, theyll quickly get t2 and 3 scout cars out to annihilate anything else you had, by the time you barely can tech up to t2 and make maybe one at gun or a AEC that will get blown up by the horde
USF: severe problems dealing with osttruppen early game since wehrmatch player will just building hop any nades you throw at him and bleed you out of MP from trying to gain back your cutoffs
rifles can win 1v1 duels but its usually never the case since osttruppen are swarming the map and constantly applying pressure
soviets: the only faction with a decent toolset, but its still a big problem early game
in the first few minutes theres no possible way to dislodge osttruppen in buildings, molotovs take a while to tech and flamethrowers as well, but by the time you teched up all this stuff theyve already locked down your cutoff and fuel, so youll be behind the tech race and get hammered by scout car spam |

why is this map still in rotation? its the dumbest shit ever, its entirely wehr/OPW favored if your soviets
literally just rush a mid building with a sturmpioneer/mg42 and automatically win any engagement, you have to either let them cap the entire mid and your cutoffs or wait 5 minutes until flamethrowers and molotovs arrive
even after you manage to kill a couple models after heavy mp bleed theyll just start sticking volks/grens into the buildings and stall you off even more, its fucking ridiculous
