Does this happen consistently?
Nah, randomly, sometimes I can get through 6 or 7 games in, other times can't even get through 1. It is quite frustrating since the case I used above we had them trip-capped, crashed, and my teammate ended up losing because the AI just, well it didn't do jack. |
Hey all, not sure if this is a bug, or if its something else, or if there is a solution, but the black screen bug is getting really old really fast. Went on to play a game or two with my friend, FIRST game, started playing all was good, my FPS was about 36 to 40 FPS, using only 9(I know, memeory leak and all.)gb's of my 16 gb's of RAM, then bam... Black Screen, my screen starts to flicker, screen goes black, and I have to restart my entire machine. One time I got to open task manager during said event, and saw I was using 16 gb's of RAM, wtf is going on with this game? Any fixes, known, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Well OKW is the abbreviation of Ober Kommando West, which is basically German for Western High Command, Ostheer, is German for Eastern Army, and Wehrmacht is actually both armies as one whole force, the German army at that time was separated into two separate commands with a overall command(by Hitler and his staff) to make decisions, hence iirc the full German army was called Ober Kommando Der Wehrmacht, which is roughly High Command of the Army. Symbolism wise the Ostheer emblem is the iron cross, the OKW is a fancy iron cross, the Soviets is just short for Soviet Union which is what the Russians where, and their logo was a hammer and sickle with stars, so they just did their emblem that way for simplification I suppose. |
I'm going to agree, and disagree at the same time, I have seen rifles run through MG42's and nade them, and the pack up time on Vickers are pretty similar... Some units were over nerfed though, centaur was OP, now it's UP, the skipped the middle ground and went too far. |
Just make a new squad, starts with 4 MP40's(since blobbing MP40's isn't exactly a great idea), can be upgraded with 2 shreks, 90 muni each, so pop one shrek, then the other? Other than that idk, ripping off PG's with sturms is to easy, and giving them to obers means you get a can do everything unit(obers are good AI, and then decent AT?). |

Isn't the goliath 100 munitions? And isn't the demo 90?
Goliath advantages:
1) Can be built at any truck
2) Does not require engineer unit to stand still and make noticeable action
3) Can cloak
4) Can move while cloaked
5) Good AoE
6) High damage
7) Relatively fast
Cons:
1) Makes some noise that can be heard while moving
2) Large target size, so can be hit if seen at distance
But really that's it. This unit is way too good for cost, and beyond that its annoying to add another squad wiping mechanic into a faction with high DPS units.
It's also detected by sweepers, have one nearby means you can split or shoot it full of holes before it gets close, but I've had mixed success with it caught a blob on retreat got 3/4's of it, conversely popped it out of cover with a blob near on top of it, got shot to hell and killed one on death, it's a weird unit but seems like a 1 trick pony that only works once then everyone is more cautious and prepared for it. |
I don't think this new patch was all that good if I'm being honest, I play almost all factions, and the fact that before I could get out my Stuart the guy had Luchs and 251(Granted my teammate was not able to control the fuel outright immediately), but even if I had a Stuart, I would have ran into 2-3 Shrek'd volks.
I really do think they were better off leaving the resource penalty in place, maybe tweaking the value from maybe 66% to 70% and seeing how it did. The real problem with OKW was their teching arrangement and timing.
Teching wise they had their Stuart/T-70 in the Schwerer, which made little sense to me, and the 251/17 Flak was in the mech, which lent it to being over looked for healing, and LeIG's. I say bring the penalty back, adjust it if need be, and leave all other changes in place. |
Honestly if you ask me, as an Axis player even I think this revamp is now a terrible idea, mainly the resource penalty change.
The Tech changes IMO are actually good, the resource penalty? No... instead of making it 100% why not try 70% and see how that works? Or still too little, make it higher, too much? Make it lower, that would have done much better keeping their unique flare, as well as keeping their timing on par with most others.
Paying to call in a truck is also a good move, removing suppression from Kubel, again I'm all for that.
As I see it, the flak HT now acts as your suppression platform, say what you will to its performance, but it can still suppress, and comes at T2/T3(always mix up OKW tech arrangement), the Luchs then comes as your T-70/M5 Stuart style AI/Chaser tank. Your AT would be handled by Raketen or Shrek'd up Volks until your armor comes out, the tech revamp, and the way the trucks come on was good, the change to resource income was not good, again, take and modify the penalty, but don't remove it. Thats my 2 cents, and this is all coming from an Axis Player. |
Hey all, not sure if this the right place to post but figured it's the best I can think of, so as we have seen recently Relic has been giving us new commanders to toy with, I was wondering will we also be seeing new skins for USF/OKW at some point(UKF is still newish so no rush for them yet.), for the OKW I'd honestly be ok if we could just use the Wehrmacht skins on OKW, you know, same nation so no big deal there. As FX go, really my main thought is will we see the high velocity gun affects of the Brits applied to all high velocity guns of other factions, as well as the tanks burning out instead of the garden variety explosions that happen. |
