Wow, thank you for the analysis! Really cemented mentally some of the problems I had. I've been opposed to using the Tier one first because I like having the puma or half track. But I'll will definitely start mixing it into my games. Whats your thoughts on building sandbags as OKW. It always seems I need the cover to have my Vols worth anything, but I never have a Pio squad around to barb wire it or, like you said enough munitions to mine them?
Really would like some people to play with, I play any and all matches types, so if you want to spar 1v1, or team battle let me know. Im GMT -4 but I play weird hours all the time so feel free to add me on steam. Flauffingauffen is my steam name.
I honestly, would love some answers to this. This just annoying as hell, four games against guard motors today and I lost all four of them. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. They have cons all over the place, so built an AA, guards come with a thousands PTRS rifles, and the AA is now useless. But on top of that for some reason PTRS are also really good at killing infantry to. SO they counter my infantry, and my light vehicles. Plus you have about what two t85s looming on the horizon. If you stop to make a flak, or a puma you're never going to have a panther before they come out. I'm sorry I'm just really frustrated, I've just hit a wall today and no matter what I do it doesn't seem to make a difference. There are always more cons then volks, there are always more PTRS rifles than a AA half track can handle. And all they have to do is focus on fuel. They can ignore everything and just lock down fuel points from you as OKW and you will never get a vehicle out.
I could really use another pair of eyes on this, I thought I was doing really well, but he turned it around super quick. My main problems is dealing with Jacksons and Shermans. It seemed like the jackson has a lot more range than my panther, and the shermans frequently just one shot wiped full squads before I had a chance to react to them. I know I had a problem with the PK43, honestly was hoping he would attack from that side again and he never really did. Kind of a waste of resources. Anyways some thoughts would be very helpful.
I was wondering if anyone else notices this. I was playing a 4v4 today, and the enemy had two 82mm mortar squads in a perfect little line. I used my Walking stuka, land it right on top of both unit. I mean I watched the shells land in the mortar teams. Yet they each only lost one member. It didn't even phase the squads. I even went to watch the replay, and again I mean these things landed right on top of the mortar squads. How is it possible to not do more damage than that? How is damage calculated with indirect fire weapons like the walking stuka?
Im not an expert, but when USF players blob up like that get some MGs. Defensive doctrine or Luft. Also if they are that blobbed up early game don't fight them. Just move around them and capture the territory they are not currently sitting at.
