Foe people asking for hold the line buffs... you need to be careful what you wish for.
Currently it deletes any squad that tries to cap your frontline as the flares drop and within 1-2 seconds a typhoon has buzzed the point.
The issue with is that it isnt clear how it works so people think its bugged or useless, its not, it takes 20 seconds of holding your line with the buff that you get (And its till bugged so the (at least icon unsure if the stats are affected)units can still have the icon above their head forever)so you can stop a push, then anything that touches the sector gets deleted.
Its incredibly powerful BUT if the enemy is behind your frontlines or you didnt capture the sectors to connect the frontlines (i.e 2v2) the ability, nothing will happen, and if your frontlines get taken, the ability stops working.
It is very situational and kind of niche, but any tweaking of how it works will call for a massive nerf to the planes themselves.
Firstly is the Brit sniper, if you try to use arty flares he takes an age to throw it but when he does throw it he fires a fake shot at the same time.
Again the Brit sniper, if he goes prone, the time for him to fire again is almost infinite unless you press S, trying to move him doesnt seem to do anything.
Infantry sections, this might also apply to others not sure, anyway, if they get shot at by a stug (3?) with the short barrel, if the shell lands next to them they become fake suppressed and dont actually move/respond to movement commands, they all go prone and will ignore your commands and the only way to fix this is again, to press S.
Anyone else having similar issues/What is causing this!?
It only gives a small vision buff to flagpoles and it doesn't target units in the FoW. It mostly relies on either friendly units to spot or sight from the flag poles.
However I figured out that the flag pole sight buff from Anvil Tactics stacks with the flag pole sight buff from PO and can make most of friendly territory visible in smaller maps because flagpoles get like 40 vision in total when PO is active with Anvil researched. Which is a pretty big problem to be honest as it does essentially make the ability mostly self-spotting.
Not even sure that that is the issue with the ability though, and what lethality, the AOE, the ROF the alpha damage?
Main issues I can see are then length that the ability lasts, and the fact it highlights all sectors that you own, so if you cap the whole map, you can see the whole map and arty and mortars fire constantly on every point and enemy is within your territory.
I just did some testing and the ability is actually really good, the issue with it that makes it overperform in that it gives vision to all sectors once activated so the arty just constantly fires on all units.
