There's a building on the "xxCompany Of Cowardsxx" re-release of the CoH1 map, "Bernieres Sur Mer" that acts as a very strong garrison point. Or at least it used to be. Your infantry can no longer go inside... They will just stand outside the entrance now...
I reported it to him to see if he could fix it but it seems he cannot. So I can only assume that this problem is on Relic's end.
I just got out of a map in the Eastern Front with Blizzards and not only noticed that the British Infantry didn't say anything different but the announcer also used the Soviet voice. I hope it's not too late to fix this jarring oversight.
Good to see we are in agreement. Though the idea that Relic deliberately made the Croc the way it is - is rather disheartening. It's clear they haven't considered certain factors that can lead to abuse. Such as attack-grounding the Fog of War or through shot blockers (Hedgerows and buildings) with it's considerable range. Add the fact it does sets the ground aflame and you have yourself an unfair advantage/terrifying enemy. These reasons alone should have made Relic reconsider...
Not to mention that it turns on it's own to fire at retreating infantry or whatnot running past and is causing unnecessary problems of exposing it's rear armour. Hell, if I remember correctly, it's doesn't even have a "Vehicles Only" toggle to force it to behave itself in the presence of tanks.
Let's also not forget that the Bofors is immobile, unlike the Ostwind. It needs some kind of advantage over it. That being said, I probably shouldn't damage buildings heavily if that is indeed true (Haven't got to witness this myself yet).
I know I'm risking getting flamed for suggest something needs to be done to make this tank work better, but it needs to be said. The Flamethrower should not be the main weapon of this tank. The flamethrower should be treated as secondary. In other words, the tank shouldn't be rotating like an assault gun when attacking something. When using the flamethrower, let that be up to the player himself by using Facing Orders.
I just came out of a game where Demo Charges don't seem to cost effectively destroy bridges anymore. It now takes four charges to take them out. Is this intended?
I was testing out the 17 Pounder today and it feels really awkward to use. It seems to be missing the User Interface that tells you it's field of fire. Having no idea how wide it is, I find it extremely unreliable.
The second bug I found on it was when I garrisoned a Vickers MG crew. They would get inside but the guy carrying the gun is missing. and doesn't appear even when infantry are close. I will stick with 6 Pounders and Tanks until this is fixed. :/
