This is disappointing. I do not care for trying to punish someone, I want to be able to ignore their behavior in some way. Maybe there is a mod for chat manipulation. |
Hello, I recently played a game where an enemy player constantly used all caps to type curse words at my team. What can I do to avoid this player? Can I block the player? Can I put on a language filter? Can I disable all chat?
I will enjoy this more without having toxic players spam obscenities at my team. |

I believe there is no reason to build panthers as Ostheer, because of the value of the Stug and how the Ostheer is defensive oriented. It makes sense to me that I build a Stug to deter enemy light armor and medium armor. It also seems to have great timing to deal with those threats. Then it also makes sense to make a second one to back up the first Stug. Then I feel I need armor that can push and is good all round. That is the Panzer IV with Panzer IV command or a Tiger, role.
With this setup, It sets me up to play Ostheer defensively. When I defeat aggresive actions, I fortify and push up the front line. If I am overwhelmed, I fall back and prepare to quickly counterattack. Enemy heavy armor has a difficult time getting close to the Stugs with Panzer IVs or Tiger tanking the damage, and multiple medium tanks cannot get close if i have good mines on flanks and a frontal assault with mediums results with a enemy tank dead instantly. With how I play I do not need an expensive fast moving tank. When I do tech to T4 I usually build a Brumbar to deal with infantry blobs. The only reason I would build panthers is in the really late game after my armor died to enemy armor.
As the OKW, I like to get 2 panthers in the late game or a panther and KT. The panther is the quick tank needed to keep up with the infantry pushes. The KT is just pure fun or great sadness.
I do not know if the Panther needs buffing necessarily, it just does not fit in to how I play the Ostheer. The panther comes to late to deal with early medium armor, the Pak is a pain, and upgrading Panzergrenadiers weakens my assault ability. I could pick aggresive commanders and have a aggresive build order as Ostheer, but OKW exists and is exactly aggressive, so why?
I am not a top tier player and this is my 1 and a half cents from a "not the best" player. |
and where KT now?
It is a non-doctrinal call-in unit limited to 1, like other heavy tanks. It is available after you build the 3 sws halftracks.
It is the first non-doctrinal call-in unit ever, in the multiplayer. It will also have a reduced population cost to be in line with other call-in heavy tanks. |
I was without the knowledge that you could target demo charges with small arms when you have minesweepers. Now the game is not so frustrating. Thanks everybody for your posts, I really appreciate your help. |
There´s a message on the left hand side of the screen if your pio detects mines. True, but being able to know its there does not give you a solution to it. It is also just one of many messages that flash briefly before fading, since everything going on gets one of these messages you can easily miss "mine detected". Do flame nades from volks explode demos? |
I am not the best player. I create this because I would like feedback on what other players had done to counter or handle this kind of game.
I was playing on Kholodny Ferma Winter versus a soviet player and he used a partisan commander and I picked Breakthrough doctrine. He used a combination of partisans, engineers and conscripts to take the map. I built 2 volksgrenadiers and another sturmpioneer. Then went for battlegroup hq. Once i could get panzerfusilers I recruited multiples of them. I upgraded both sturms with mine detectors. Mid game i made sure I had a couple of raketenwerfers. Once he could he continued building t34s.
I did surrender this game after losing two panzerfusilers to a demo charge behind trees.
I did lose a sturmpioneer to a demo charge behind a sight blocking trees. At this point, It felt hopeless with only 1 detector.
I am only a person and I wanted to ask the community what strategy they use to combat this. A solution may be obvious to a veteran player but not to me. |
I have been thinking about that too. Still, remember that the ressource cut is removed, that mean much more fuel aviable = a much more interestin FlakHT.
But there is still unknown numbers. As i read the patch the building truck is not an automatic free unit anymore as it is build in the T0. So how much does it cost?...

Before I would build the kubelwagen to run infantry off points or never build it. Now I will build kubelwagen for faster capping/ninja capping or never build it. With the cost reduction and resource increase maybe it is worth building every game for its niche role. You can still salvage it for 5 fuel.
This patch tells me to play Wehrmacht while waiting for this to be balanced out and for the OKW commander changes that are not coming until next year.
