Avoiding toxic players and their language

Hello, I recently played a game where an enemy player constantly used all caps to type curse words at my team. What can I do to avoid this player? Can I block the player? Can I put on a language filter? Can I disable all chat?

I will enjoy this more without having toxic players spam obscenities at my team.

Sadly there isn't a proper language filter, only a few words were censored but thats it. Kinda hope there's a mute chat button against opponent like that

This is disappointing. I do not care for trying to punish someone, I want to be able to ignore their behavior in some way. Maybe there is a mod for chat manipulation.

Yeah, sorry there isn't much you can do and I haven't heard many good things about the response time on those emailed reports.

coh2 is definately not such toxic that you would need to hide chat, there might be some autist sometimes that will whine because they are loosing but nothing compared to competitive games like CS GO, Dota, and the worst of all: overwatch ..

This is what put me off competitive play for a looooooooooong time. And yet, I find some inexplicable force pulling me in. I guess the thing to do is to find a smaller 'pond' of decent people to play with. I think that would mean no ranked matches though.

Try playing 1v1 or find mates to play premade team games. This way only "nice persons" from the other side of barrier can annoy you

Yep, that's what I've been doing in CoH. None of my friends own CoH2 though.

if you cant take the toxicity from players grow some balls

Learn a few phrases in an obscure or lesser known language then act all confused.

But in almost all cases total radio silence in response is a pretty effective method.

Especially as you continue to actively micro and they get even madder for not having their tantrum validated.

I will never understand why people in online video games constantly waste their time by playing a game they hate so much. Most toxic people seem like nihilistic masochists to me.

Unfortunately, the only effective thing you can do is growing a stoic stance over such people due to lack of regulatory tools like mute mode and such.
