What's interesting is that for most game modes, the ratios among factions are very similar between the top 250 and all the way to 500+.
Basically I'm saying it appears that say in 1v1, if Ost wins 5% more games than Soviet at the top 250 level, at the 500+ level, Ost also wins about 5% more games than Soviet.
I'm wondering even if we did look at the top 50 players, there still may not be any major differences among the factions. |

i actually dont really see a reason to play ostheer anymore, the only thing they do objectively better is the sniper, and arguably the mortar. okw has access to better infantry, a slightly weaker mg, and has access to the same mg doctrinally, better elite infantry, better tanks, 5 levels of vet, etc.

It still hugely negates the usage of crush. Hit it once with something else or double faust it and crush isn't a problem anymore.

I'm so excited for the direction of this balance preview. Aggression, flanks, unit preservation, and combined are becoming more rewarding.
The days of blobbing until heavy tank are coming to an end. The heavy tank should be a tool in an arsenal with risks and rewards, not just "the best tank you can buy" for each faction.
Think of how dynamic and interesting this game could be when all those formerly "worthless" doctrines without call-in tanks are on even footing with those without. When the "meta" is SOLID FUCKING PLAY instead of "XXXXX unit" spam or crutching around a particularly strong unit, that's what I'm looking forward to. |
I wouldn't be surprised if shreks aren't actually removed at the end of all of this. The shrek blob is so fundamental to the vast majority of OKW players (scrubs or not), I feel like the faction would just collapse in all of the "gaming analytics" relic is so proud of. Top players can adapt, but the other 90% of the playerbase that plays OKW might not be able to. |

Jaeger Light Infantry Recon Squad
fusiliers are for long range combat. they get a sniper level vision bonus with the g43 upgrade
JLI can spawn from buildings and crit low health squads. they can stand in back knocking down infantry while low cost volks grens charge with their combat upgrade package.
Maybe there's going to be some new commander with a doctrinal level shrek squad. |
