Dang--Inverse took the post out of my keyboard.
Micro is king.
Personally, I love it.
I dislike playing StarCraft 2 because it's so heavily macro focused. Ergh. I have not the mindset to memorize and optimize such routine yet diverse notions of building, timing, etc.
Brood War was more fun IMO~
Because a skilled Roy can beat ANY Fox. Whoops, wrong game.
Micro can win the day, is what I mean. SC2, far less so. |
I think NDA method is the only way to keep this very small community not to throw this game away...and buy next DLC.
Nothing personal - just bussines.
I don't think there are enough people willing to go in blind any more for hype sales to come through over shitty content, especially because NDA prevents hype.
Any way, honesty and openness is by far the best policy on principle. |
Should CoH2.org inform the Community about leaks from the Alpha about new Units?... No.
By "no", you don't mean that CoH2.org should suppress the information, right? You just mean that they shouldn't go out of their way to spread the information? |
The whole reason there are so many toxic community members is because there has been huge amounts of bullshit since its release. Perhaps if balance wasn't shit most of the games life I'd be more inclined to respect the NDA and relic, but I give no shits. Balance in comparison to how seriously relic takes NDA is a joke. Thats why I dont give a fuck. Same to many others.
The alpha for brits only involves people who really only play multiplayer, even then half of the alpha testers are all scrubs and fucking idiots. No idea what kind of data relic is hoping to get out of players that don't even understand how to use hotkeys. So the argument that relic pools data from comp stompers and campaign only fags doesn't matter. The multiplayer community has had to put up with a lot of shit, so its no surprise at all how badly the NDA is thought of.
Judging by how badly some of the shit sounds in the alpha I bet balance will be broken forever when brits are released. I lol at the fact at some of the stuff the brits have its hilarious that relic thinks it could potentially be balanced and needs testing. How long have they been making strategy games? How many people play coh2 in comparison to how many people have bought it? Lol its pathetic.
Relic Faith Rating: 0
Careful, there.
What you just said was pretty T O X I C.
You can't control the opinion of the masses. If people think the NDA is stupid, you're going to hear about it, and no appeal to "honour" is going to change that. If people thought this NDA was totally reasonable, there wouldn't be any problems. This is more of this Relic-guided "it's the community's fault, not ours" mentality that shows up time and again, from that toxic community members post by Noun to shit like this. It just doesn't make any sense how far some people go to deflect blame around here.
When Valve announced their paid mods plan for Skyrim, I thought it was a great initiative, and I didn't understand the incredible backlash they received for it. But you know what? My opinion of something isn't the be-all-end-all, and the majority made it abundantly clear that they disagreed with me, and Valve acted on that majority opinion. It's not about what is "right", or "moral", or "honourable", it's about what the majority of people perceive. If the majority of people think the NDA is bullshit, appealing to "honour" is just wasting your time.
10/10
An agreement is an agreement welcome to the world of grownups.
Could you explain this, please? I'm being genuine here. I don't understand what you mean. |
Contracts cannot morally bind third parties.
There is nothing whatsoever wrong with spreading information gained secondhand.
However, the OP raises the point of tact - and perhaps this mythological 'respect' I keep hearing about.
To which there's no real response, because it's spot on!
But, again, one wouldn't be in the wrong if they spread information secondhand.
Of course, neither is the moderation team in the wrong for stemming the tide, since this voluntary community is subject to whatever arbitration, however ridiculous, which IMO protecting the NDA happens to be quite a deal of.
This is moral neutral ground, and both sides are performing acceptably.
The only ones in the wrong are those who break their contracts. |

what do we nerf D: |
Pls include 'base accuracy received' stat.
It should be at squad level.
Also vet bonuses when \ / |
they are tougher because they start with 0.75 received accuracy. if memory serves its 0.9 for the fsj. that is not something you can find in those links.
Please don't take this personally, but, unless you can provide stronger evidence than your memory, I'm going to say that base received accuracy isn't a stat that exists.
I'd love it if we had complete stats on the stats site, though, if it does exist! I'd hate having to refer to uncertain things rather than providing them directly, or bug someone to poke in the files to confirm (Cruzzi pls).
Edit: asked Cruzzi in Romeo's Twitch chat if 'base received accuracy' exists. It exists at a squad level, rather than entity level as I expected. I still have no idea where to find this information, but at least base received accuracy exists. |
You also dont have to pay 50 % more mp for each entity and they are tougher then the fsj.
33 mp for beefed up grens or uber pg's (that special ability is awesome if used in cover).
They are extremely good.
Tougher? How? Looking at the stats, PGs are straight up better with their vet bonuses on reduced weapon cooldown. They have the exact same received accuracy modifier at vet.
But, yes, Stormtroopers are better at reinforcing.
Fsj actually get -39% received accuracy total at vet 3. Wow.
Please check your facts:

I will verify it, but it looks like I missed some additional stuff. You rarely only have that at vet 3.
I want to go over everything but its very tedious
I just asked Cruzzi in Hans' chat.
He says the vet guide should be accurate!
But we certainly know that the attribute editor isn't reliable, as was pointed out on the previous page. |
