My idea of Urban defence tactics.
0CP FORWARD HEADQUARTERS
2CP penal battalions can upgrade with 2 DP-28 LMGs, costs 60 munitions.
2CP M-42 45MM AT GUN
move to 1CP and it starts with ambush tactics, like raketenwerfer.
6CP BOOBY TRAP TERRITORY
reduce cost to 50 munitions, replace damage with incendiary.
4CP ARMORED VEHICLE DETECTION
6CP FOR MOTHER RUSSIAN
7CP INCENDIARY ARTILLERY BARRAGE
it's good enough. |
My recommendations are-
Overwatch- (too many munition abilities, nothing to take advantage of long sight ranges)
0 Halftrack Defenses (Forward Receivers + Goliaths)
1 Early Warning
2 Panzerfusiliers (extended sight range and capture bonuses fit well)
2 For the Fatherland
15 Jagdtiger
Breakthrough- (Unit call-ins don't support breakthroughs? also, very little synergy between abilites besides infantry blobs)
0 Breakthrough
1 Sturm Offizier (needs to be tweaked)
6 StuG IIIe (same as Ostheer call-in)
10 Assault Artillery (no longer tied to sectors?)
13 Tiger I (exclusive with Tiger II, comes equipped with smoke launchers and speed boost ability)

Arty Regiment:
1. 3CP - Early Warning
it's good enough.
2. 4CP - Valentine
Buffed to have far better anti-infantry like the T70/Greyhound;
map hack nerfed to behind vet 1;
remove the coordinated fire ability.
3. 4CP - the Valentine coordinated fire ability becomes a stand-alone ability for all units.
It can replace Concentration Barrage.
4. 9CP - Sexton
Buffed like Priest power.
5. 10CP - Perimeter Overwatch.
Replace it with 1CP - USF mortar or 2CP - soviet 120mm mortar
Vanguard Operations
1. 1CP - Raid Operation
switch icon to the ability Raid Tactics(recon support company) icon.
2. 3CP - Forward Logistics Glider
spawn a Valentine not an Airlanding officer;
remove forward retreat point;
remove the possibility to create more commandos and medics;
remove the possibility to reinforce the infantry squads.
3. 6CP - Vehicle Crew Repairs
it's good enough.
4. 12CP - Strafing Support
modify stats of the ability so that it matches that of IL-2 Sturmovik Attacks Soviet ability.
5. 13CP - Vanguard Operation "Crocodile"
modify stats of the main cannon so that it matches that of the Churchill MKVII.

With 1.6.1 update, the flak emplacements drop medkits? I haven't tried it yet ... |
I think there is too much call-in in the doctrine now.
Or remove M21 or remove the Sherman 76mm. |
i think the conscripts get too much stuff: ptrs, vehicle detection ability, RPG-40 grenades, Orah ability ...
They will become the new super-units.
Why give some stuff to other units like penals, engineers or snipers?
If only one unit can detection, immobilize and finish every tanks is too much.
