Not sure about joining, but I'll play USF with you guys. |
The issue here is that even if you could get enough AT to deal with a KT by 15 min you have given up all initiative. He now has a choice, since you are heavily invested in AT, and he should know that, he can still go KT or he can forgo it and go for more infantry.
You don't need all the AT by 15 minutes, you just need to be able to notice at 15 minutes if there's no OKW armor on the field, then in 3 minutes, OKW will probably field a KT. So you have 3 minutes to grab a Jackson and an AT gun or two. Assuming an average of 30 fuel income, 18 minutes will grant you 540 fuel. That's more than enough fuel for an American player to get a Stuart, Sherman, and Jackson out. On the other hand, that leaves the OKW player enough to get a KT and nothing else. Close to getting a Luchs, but still not enough. Jackson is all you need to force a KT to back down, and the Sherman/Stuart should be able to force the situation to where you have better map control. |
I agree it would be nice if the SU-85 got a consistency buff like the Jackson got, but even then the Jackson's penetration was increased from 200 to 240. I wouldn't move the SU-85s penetration past 240, and if it was brought to 240, then the penetration vet should be moved to vet 3, and the reload brought to vet 2. |
Not sure if I agree with SU-85 changes. 260 Penetration with 30% extra penetration from vet is a lot of penetration. With vet, that's almost 340 penetration, so we're talking about ~100% pen all the way to the KT.
I realize the Jackson, with vet and HVAP rounds gets higher penetration, but Jacksons are so flimsy that I'm not sure if I've had a vet 3 Jackson before and it requires an ammo ability. I know I've had high vet SU-85s, though. I'd tone it down to 220 plus your 30% vet, bringing it just shy of 290. |
I don't believe the 11 minute KT strat is actually possible if playing against players of equal or greater skill. The issue is more so that in games where allies aren't holding more than 50% map control, a KT is all but guaranteed around 18 minute mark from any/all OKW players.
Pretty simple really, if OKW players haven't fielded any armor before 15 minutes, get ready for a KT. |
Thanks, but Do I need beat the game on hard?
Difficulty does nothing for your score. It should, but it doesn't. Here's a good guide about it; it has a detailed scoring section:

Getting gold is pretty easy, especially if you do it on easy difficulty. Even if you don't do well on the missions, you get 125 points for a bronze medal and there's about ~15 missions. So, beat the campaign, keep the three companies alive, and hoard at least 80 requisition points, and you'll get gold overall. |
Where does those dialogue lines come from? Are they real in game dialogues? I have never heard them!
Those dialogue lines then to happen when units are standing still, ie behind a line of sandbags guarding a point. I've heard most of those, though I think it tends to be situational. For example, I remember having a squad of Obers standing beside a King Tiger, and I probably heard the "German Engineering" line 3 times in quick succession. |

I've never seen Shocks act like that, and before the last patch the Lieutenant never acted like that for me either. However, regardless of which unit does it, it needs to end. If I wanted my Guards or my Captain to shoot from cover, I would have moved them into cover. Otherwise, when I right click something, I need that something to die, not have my units dance a jig before unloading their clips. |
