I never build them outside of my base in 1v1, except on the larger maps (and even then just barely outside the base). In 2v2s just place them well behind shot blockers.
In 3v3 and up you have so much fuel that losing one isn't a big deal.
Concentrated barrage and balance planes are the only broken things against them. If you lose them otherwise it is a failure on your part to place them well or a failure to repair them. |
Its only use is for more accurate WP on the Battlegroup HQ, otherwise it is worthless... |
the advantages of t4 over t3 are kind of minor. the panzer4, stug, and ostwind are good enough against most allies tank and it's hard justifying the extreme cost to go into t4.
The brummbar, and panther are both hard hitting units but the t3 units are just as efficient.panzerwerfer is really the only reason I would feel compel to go into t4.
to quote the OP, centaur=ostwind,cromwell=pz4,stug=firefly. (and I would rate the stug>firefly atm) 200mp and 50 fuel is a decent research cost for the comet/churchill. it's just the ost t4 being overpriced.
The only reason I rate the firefly higher than the Stug is that if caught unaware for 3 seconds the firefly has the ability to one shot any medium tank for an initial cost of 140 munitions.
Otherwise the cromwell is better than the PIV due to cost and speed and the centaur is, well if you think the ostwind is better than the centaur then I don't know what to tell you.
Also for those saying the brit sniper is in T2, it is but T2 usually comes at 2 minutes, giving you the option to countersnipe at around 3 minutes. I wouldn't say that 1.5 minutes of ostheer sniper field time is enough to win the game... |
i honestly disliked the finals, only the 1st game was somehow good. the other games were just stomps and boring sniper wars, same stuff every single game. i was really tired of it when game 4 started because i knew exactly what would happen... i really couldnt share the excitement about the finals as apparently some others did.
the real gems of this tourney were games with players like vindi or barton for me, very entertaining games, hell we even saw a god damn jagd tiger in ocf. these kinds of games are what makes coh2 so exciting for me, not the boring stomps for 5 games.
Can you imagine how boring it could have been without our lord and savior
But anyways yea, the first day was too long. I was just watching and I got exhausted. Spread it out over 3 weeks, and why are finals always on mondays? It makes it tough for those of us who work for a living to enjoy.
So maybe spread it over 3 weeks, and no seeding in the future, it spreads ity |
This thing can cover the whole base of your opponent on all 1vs1 maps. Further more, OKW is designed in a way which requires you to use forward HQs in order to remain in game. Nevertheless, ML20 can reach out your base sector, so your HQs won't be safe even if you deploy your trucks inside your base. High damage, 1000 penetration and small scatter make this unit into an instant I-Win button. You wonder why they designed OKW in this way if a single howie can completely end the game for you. Any of the following changes could solve the issue and this unit will retrain its usefulness.
- Massive penetration nerf
- Increased scatter
- Damage reduction (same as all other howies)
The ML20 got nerfed hard a couple of patches ago. It is currently the worst on map artillery. Build a stuka to counter in 1v1, since artillery pieces can no longer be built in base sector. |

defending the centaur is like defending the LeiG. Both get nerfed next patch anyway
God willing. Both are crutch units |

I guess few matchs ain't representative of balance, but it's seems it does.
After all axis don't have any op units
Yeah of course centaur is faster, if you don't loose any models, or aren't starved, because we all know UKF is a manpower free faction
You're right. The overall win rates show that Axis is actually much worse than OCF would indicate
Axis certainly has units that overperform but nothing that over performs quite as bad as the centaur does for the time it comes out and the cost. The unit itself doesn't bother me, it is the timing. Brit T3 needs to be 150 fuel IMO, a delay of 2 minutes. And really, it is only bothersome for Ostheer.
As for your third point, the centaur is consistently out around 12 minutes. Sorry you are too nooby to manage your MP to get units when you want them? |
I believe farts have more lethal aoe radios then brit tank nades
Not to mention they are kind of obvious, short ranged, impractical, slow and like to missfire.
I was being facetious.
I only do it in 4v4, it would seem like certain death in a 1v1 |
1) You don't need a ROAD to mine.
2) Axis had enough toys dealing with the Churchill series, while the Churchills can't do any jackshit back to them. Churchill weakness is quite obvious. Insane high HP is their only strength, getting rid of it means killing the unit.
Actually Churchills hard counter paks. Just drive up and throw a grenade on them. |

Dunno, Just too hard for axis to get easy strat aka sniper 222 for Osth or LeIG retard gun into JPIV....Wich as no counter as UKF.
But no UKF is op faction with OP units.
This game strat to disgust me...
As I said many times, if you let UKF have tanks, you're noob. You will ruin them easily early game without effort (LeIG + snipers)
I guess all those people who lost to Aimstrong are noobs |
