still, needs a buff (frontal armor) imo, and a cost decrease for T4.

260 armor is actually quite decent. It'll get 30% more armor at vet 2 = 338 armor.

The Sturmtiger only got 220 armor which is weird because it actually had very strong armor.

Its quite handy and will penetrate easily almost all mediums(only Ez8 will deflect) and help against heavies by supporting paks.

It has 100 penetration at max range and 140 at close range. That's not even enough for a T-34/76.

I almost never use this tank. Hard to say what needs to be done to make it viable.

I'd say Ostheer teching needs to be adjusted first.

I'll say it as many times as is needed. That many MP and MU from any nation will wipe a single MG unless spent on nothing but rear echelon with sweepers. There is nothing unique here except the weapon involved.

Seriously, spending ammo on units doesn't (or at least shouldn't) mean that they become immune to their supposed hardcounter.

If you blob and run into an HMG AND YOU DON'T STOP to blob those squads shouldn't win without any action from the player.

Unfortunately, PTRS allow players to do exactly that. Blob, run into HMGs and destroy them without any effort.

4 squads of anything (except Obers) running into an M2HB in green cover will also get suppressed. The difference is that you still need to use nades or try to move your squads out of the firing zone. You still have to do something.

I found out that 4 Obers will wipe any HMG in green cover within seconds. Suppression should have a stronger negative effect on accuracy IMO. Suppression should also reduce range of grenades by ~50% (or completely disable them?).

The best thing to balance PTRS would probably be to revert the accuracy buff and increase penetration instead so that PTRS feel more like AT weapons.

It makes me laugh when I read the patch notes and see how Relic intended to "encourage combined arms" and "reduce the effectiveness of blobbing". They did quite the opposite.

I don't think this commander needs any kind of rework.

If somebody goes heavy inf spam with ammo upgrades, go for AI (demos, mines, indirect fire etc). He won't have the fuel to get out tanks soon so punish him by countering his inf.

Skillplanes are relatively easy to dodge. The AT strafe will be used against vehicles (obviously).

Vehicles can easily dodge this strafe because of their speed. If you have Kayusha (or any kind of mobile arty) somewhere you should simply move it as soon as you see a recon plane.

The AT strafe will cause heavy damage on tanks that stay in its target area. Even a small move can cause this ability to miss most of its shots and thus cause relatively low damage.

The AI strafe is harder to dodge because your inf is slower than vehicles. BUT this strafe will not cause any trouble if you don't have a giant blob moving arond the map.

Both, the AI and AT strafe, are fine IMO considering their small target area and the fact that you will be warned by a recon flight.

The Stuka Dive Bomb is also not that strong. It's an expensive counter for static arty (180MU or 50 fuel in this doctrine + recon plane) and can only be used against targets like support weapons or slow vehicles that got engine damage. Again, if you see a recon plane, just move possible targets like Katyushas, repairing vehicles etc.

It is definitely some extra work to look for recon planes on the mini-map but that's not a big issue.

Both single passes are indicated by red flares that should inform you in time (in case your unit is at the frontline already and thus spotted by enemy units without recon plane - you should have an eye on your units in battle anyway and I think they inform the player by voice most of the time as well).
