Thread: Hold the Line! - A 2v2 German Strategy23 Aug 2015, 00:14 AM Jump back to quoted post22 Aug 2015, 20:16 PMcomm_ash I suppose I worded that wrong, but Ostruppen are still the best carriers for squad weapons because they have 6-men with fast and cheap reinforce, as well as low damage per base weapon (less DPS "lost" from army when weapons are picked up), and the cover bonus. All these factors make them the most efficient unit Ostheer has when using squad weapons. For Ostheer, maybe, but if you have an OKW team mate giving him the weapons is probably for the best considering OKW units tend to get more accuracy from vet than normal units do. Also when recrewing weapons doing it with Ostruppen isn't as good as it used to be anymore since Ostruppen retain their 25% received accuracy when they recrew something. If you want to recrew a weapon, do it with Sturms who are cheaper and faster to reinforce now and come with some nice received accuracy of .87 natively. In: Guides

I think you said so yourself in a recent thread as it begins CD before going through firing all 10 shells, which takes quite a while. Anyone know the exact numbers? A lot of people seem to think the LefH is fine including the counter barrage. I haven't used it enough myself to make a proper opinion, but it has mauled me on Ettelbruck at least. I'll try it out the next few days if possible. Both howitzers begin their cool down when you start firing. For all intensive purposes the LefH and ML-20 are functionally identical except the ML-20 has more damage (300) compared to the LefH's (160). In: COH2 Balance

Make the old northern munition's point a fuel point, and swap the middle munitions point with the far left VP, move the far right VP to the top middle capture point. There you go, know you have a even line of muni, fuel, and VP's. And finally priest which is just overpriced and is not that effective, for 480 mp and 115 fuel, it would mean sacrificing major and a lot of MP. That also would mean you would be relying on AT guns, which get hardcountered by Stuka. I wouldn't call 200 damage with a much better AoE profile than the LeFH, while being mobile, with less scatter, and able to be popcap abused "overpriced and not effective". In: COH2 Balance

Counter-barrage is best barrage New ML-20 vet ability is Secure territory They both have the exact same cooldown, it's just that the LeFH shows it's cooldown while you barrage but the ML-20 doesn't show the cooldown ticker until after, but they still will have the same time left to fire after barraging. Also counter-barrage only does more damage on direct hits, as it's AoE profile is exactly the same. It fires only 6 shells to, compared to the 12 of the normal barrage. Its easy. Dissallow to shoot into the base sector. This doesn't solve the fact it's way to punishing for OKW who lacks counters. In: COH2 Balance
