The manpower drain and lack of field presence is very noticeable for me when using Luftwaffe supply. The most powerful thing about the commander has to be the extreme amount of munitions you can get, which allows you to constantly have recon planes up and using Dive Bombs against enemy artillery and troop concentrations. |
"No mediums" for OKW makes no sense since the Panther isn't a heavy tank, and nor is the Jadgpanzer. A single medium tank (and one that is worse than the Ostheer version until it acquires vet and upgrades). |
Hulldown gives 35% more range and 35% faster reload, ostwind with possible VET 3 and hulldown is a autocannon
It basically becomes a Schwer that you can target things with and doesn't shoot the ground as often. |
An excellent way to get OKW to spend more fuel rather than stalling for a KT would be to make more tanks worth building that aren't so close in cost to a KT.
Sturmtiger is good, but costs a bit to much fuel and MP despite being great for blob/medium killing. Panther is just to close in cost to a command panther or even a KT, and lacks good Anti infantry capabilities which you NEED against the USF blob. Jadgpanzer is great for anti armor, and honestly in my opinion is better to get than a panther if you need to take down enemy armor.
Giving OKW the Ausf J at 100 or 115 fuel cost from the mechanized HQ would go a long way to getting players to spend fuel. As medium tank would help OKW immensely when the first shermans and t34's roll out. |

If your using weapons that decrew a b4 your doing it wrong, you are literally making things easier for your enemy. Iv had games were I had 4 b4's only costing me 12 popcap |
The issue with gimmick doctrines that need buildings to spawn from to be effective is that not every map has good building spawn points, for OKW this doesn't mean anything since the stock OKW units are fine but for Soviets commander choice is everything. |
For OKW the issue arises that the Panther is honestly extremely mediocre and the player is better off just getting more volks with shreks so any allied mediums that entire the field get insta killed by a giant horde of high vet volks.
Really I find the Sturmtiger to be much better option especially if I'm facing off against a entrenched allied player that's spamming at guns and other support weapons. The Stuka Zu Fus is just so awful versus a skilled player who knows how to avoid it, while most won't be able to react to your sturmtiger in time if you sight for it.
If you want mid game dedicated AT you are far better off spending your fuel on a Jadgpanzer which becomes a beast at vet 2 then wasting it on a Panther, or just continue to stall for a command panther or KT. The reason you see very little OKW combined arms is they simply don't need it. |
