They should be priced according to their performance, but they should require tech so they don't give you a 200+manpower/100+fuel advantage by not teching.
The King Tiger is an excellent example of a well priced and tier placed unit. All heavies and call ins should be placed/priced like it. |
Very good. Now remind me, in which tier can I call these stock units?
Was it not obvious enough I that I was referencing commanders? Soviet stock units are not as universally terrible as you might think either, The Katyusha is very effective in team games, as is T1.
There is a plentiful amount of good Soviet commanders worth taking, don't act intentionally dense. |
Read 'Cheesy' as 'Only effective soviet options', but yes. If these turn up, you may have to work for a victory in a team game.
Uh, since when do Soviets lack for effective options? The IS2 commander is one of the best in the game, massed IS2's in team games can become impossible to beat even if you get a KT out because they will have 2 IS2's for every KT you have.
IS2 spam can pretty much only be countered by Multiple Elefants and Jadgtigers.
In team games the amount of options for all factions expands, it doesn't contract. Not to mention multiple T34/85's along with Jackson support can be extremely deadly. |
T-70 one shooting squads?
And you are surprised why everyone on this boards is fed up with you
T70 can't one-shot shit with 40 damage per hit.
Unless every man in the squad is at half health, which then rather strongly reduces the impact of the application of the term "one shot" to it.
It does 40 damage fairly far out from the place it hits, meaning that if you get shot once with the current bunching mechanics then your likely to lose several models in the next shot
Of course, if you wanted to be nit picky this means it can 2 shot squads fairly reliably not one shot, but with it's good ROF the T-70 can kill infantry quickly.
It's got decent accuracy to, honestly the T-70 is fine right now, it's biggest problems is that T3 isn't very viable at all late game. |
You do not get lights to fight each other, Stuart is the only light tank somewhat designed to fight armor, two others are almost exclusively AI with added benefit of being able to dmg light armor.
You get them to fight infantry and light armor, this is what Luchs does incomparably better.
Also, luchs HP alone makes it best light tank by default by MILES.
Comparing light tanks in a direct combat makes as much sense as comparing mortars in direct combat-they do fight sometimes, but just because soviet one can precision strike german one it does not make it better then german one even in the slightest.
Except being able to one shot a squad is very powerful, the precision strikes are more likely to wipe squads than normal barrages.
Please, do me a favour and plug out keyboard.
I already proved that SP will win agasint AE at any range.
Why does this even matter? Sturms cost 40 more MP and are more expensive to reinforce.
Volks are far cheaper to reinforce, OKW barely needs munitions for other things and Volks are a 5 man squad instead of 4. They also get vet up to gain a lot of survivability and don't lose all their anti-infantry power after being upgraded.
OKW is very munitions starved early game, every grenade you use delays your Shreks heavily, which can be a killer.
T70 will win 1v1 with Luch, has great Recon mode but it's nowhere near to Luchs in terms of killing infantry. Luchs can melt infantry better than any other vehicle in game.
The T70 is more likely to one shot enemy squads and kill multiple models in each shot, while the Luchs does way more DPS.
Ultimately the T70 does well in it's roll, it could use some more health but other than that it can be excellent for killing stuff like Obers. |
The OP of the Relic thread was trolling, unfortunately a bunch of people on /r/company of heroes said they heard similar stuff which has lead to everyone being very confused.
Not to mention the whole NDA crack down stuff.
Because we like to cultivate a non-adversarial and healthy relationship with Relic
If only Relic felt the same way |
The "latest" change to Panzywerfer was made in 31th of July in 2014
Panzerwerfer
In contrast to the Katyusha, the Panzerwerfer trades range and area denial for damage concentration. This increased rocket saturation increases its barrage lethality, while its counter barrage ability punishes nearby artillery. Given the Panzerwerfer has a slightly higher tech cost, we have enabled it to fire its barrage more frequently.
Damage from 160 to 80
Mid AOE damage from 56 to 28
Deflected shots now deal 20 damage
Ability recharge time from 70 to 100 seconds
(I still have nightmares of the COH 2 early days with Flamehalftracks coming to your face, and after that PZ IV´s and Panzerwerfers, and Panthers after that, glad those days are over)
The problem is that they changed how artillery worked which drastically reduced it's ability to hit anything outside of point blank range. While it will kill what ever infantry is caught in the barrage zone, the zone is so small it becomes stupid easy to move out of.
It's particularly unfair considering the large amount of damage over an area the Katyusha and Stuka can do, as well as the fact the Katyusha can be used for area denial (which is fine), but the Pwerf can't function as an assault rocket artillery HT like the stuka; so it has basically no defined roll. |
The balance of players searching seems to be better than ever, Iv been getting 50% in 3's and 2's lately a whole bunch |
Su 85 is trash at finishing anything with more armor than unvetted p4. Jacksons is so much better it hurts.
But, nonetheless, rushed double katy, first to force blob away and second to drop it dead on fhq into callins is viable strategy. And even single katy can spray annihilation with RNG gods blessing.
It's pen is fairly okay versus even Panthers and Tigers, and it's DPS at Vet 2 is absurdly high. Honestly T4 isn't nearly in as much of a bad spot as T3 is long term.
The Jackson has more raw damage, but it's DPS is lower. |
Dude, Katyusha kicks major ass in team games. Devastating in fact. The trade off is it dies to a light breeze and Soviet tier three and four both suck.
T4 (except the SU-76) is fine. |
