Are you that much detached from actual gameplay? Have you used them at least ONCE? You are aware that we're talking CQC unit with zero mid/long range potential? And inb4 you'll start defending them, check penal and shock dps curves, cut them in half and put them together into one. See how awesome they are. Unit with low survivability(it can have 10 men, it will still have low survivability because of no REC ACC modifiers, no armor, no smoke and no sprint) and low dps is a BAD unit. Ass grens are much better and scale actually like assault troop needs to. Iv used it a fair amount, and the HT is nice on it's own and the Assault Guards are fine for fighting enemy infantry in close up maps (which their are several of). They are not some awesome unit I adore like shocks, but they get better offensive bonus's than regular guards because they are a more offense focused unit. They are not total garbage, it's just that Lend Lease as a whole isn't very in the meta because of the mediocre Dhsk and the fuel drop being expensive and not working thanks to Flak Defenses. Like I said soviet radios were usually pretty bad. I mean they worked, but static really plagued them. Not saying it can't be put in the game, but what would its bonuses be? I'd hate for it to become a clone of the panzer4 cmd tank. Well the KV series tanks are all doctrinal so them getting commanders wouldn't be that OP. I mention a 15% increase to accuracy of all allied units around the tank (so not all in the sector like the CPIV which is stupid) being one suggestion but it would vary depending on the KV variant. KV1: Bonus to allied infantry and tanks, 15% more accuracy KV2: Bonus to allied tanks, 20% better acceleration and 10% better ROF KV8: Bonus to allied infantry, 15% faster movement speed and 10% better ROF. In the sense that nothing has to be programmed and designed besides changing some stats. -T34s: i don't see them adding that to the game. Too much work -IS2: i hope you mean stun, instead of engine crit. -ISU: already has a muni ability which does that -M4 Sherman: vet0, vet1 or vet2 ? Replace radio net or adds to it? IMO vet2 should be fine as a way to reward tank preservation. Anyway, eventhough not as impossible as the T34 suggestion, it's probable that it won't happen. -M10/M36: on it's current performance, i'm not sure if that is a buff or a nerf -The T34's already have hand holds modeled on them, placing infantry on them would be fairly easy. One modder could probably do it. -IS2: The Immobilization crit is when a tank is knocked off it's treads (So the tank can still fire), this would just make up for the IS2's slow reload which kinda makes it's performance against armor sometimes lack luster because of it's poor DPS -ISU: Yes but it's only 1 shot, and to expensive IMO. Should just be able to get shooting through shot blockers for 2-3 like the Jadg. -Shermans: Vet 2, should be there to reward good play and preservation I agree. Not like it's hard to vet Shermans that fast anyway. Plus being able to recrew with veteran crews! -M10/36: The Pen buff from ACPR shells really isn't big enough to make a huge difference versus Heavys and Super's, being able to slow a tanks ROF and turret traverse would allow the fragile USF tanks to deal with the enemy armor easier. Since the USF tanks don't really lack DPS at all, they are just quite easily killed. Pretty decent suggestion but I agree with alot of what others are saying. However If you think Combat blitz is ok in its current state especially on heavies which in turns makes them impossible to flank your out of your mind. I don't agree it's perfectly fine, but as stated earlier I'll work on what to replace blitz with later. It doesn't need to be nerfed, but heavies just need more unique veteran ability's. Russian radios were shit most of the war if not the entire war. Especially in t34 tanks that didn't even use them, and when they did they were usually always full of static so the crews usually didnt use them. Russia is the only faction I think that would be fine without them. U'S' and britain could use them though, but I don't think even america used em much. I actually got the idea from the Commissar that sticks his head out of the KV2 when it's not in combat. But T34/85's had crew radios and the KV1 was used as front line command tanks by officers due to it's superior protection. Personally adding an infantry officer to Soviets would be stupid, them having tank officers would be more interesting and unique even if it was only like the Elite Armored ones that increase sight and call in barrages. Thread: New Veteran Abilities for Allied Vehicles24 Mar 2015, 15:24 PM The ISU-152 is a self propelled howitzer not an Assault Gun, I know the difference is nit picky but it's kind of hard to compare the little StuG to the mighty 152. The Sturmpanzer IV I completely forgot about, yeah it's overpriced. I agree kinda, but the 76mm gun was effective versus medium armor and is the exact same as the ZiS which has a 50% chance to pen the Panther so why is the SU-76 getting a magically inferior ZiS gun? The SU-76 being a ZiS on wheels with a free bombardment would make it more than useful; the StuG III Ausf G is a topic for another day IMO. In: COH2 Gameplay

Yeah, if you keep it ultra close. It's a rocket artillery HT, why is it only effective at point blank range. It operates in the exact same range or lower than that of the 81-82mm Mortars. Nerfing units tends to make it so they are never used, cost increases just mean they are delayed and the cost efficiency is reduced. Buffing is much better for everyone, Allies just need some sort of C-Panther equivalent, as Iv suggested before the KV series tanks should come with Commanders In: COH2 Balance

They both need tweaks (Jackson: Penetration and acceleration buff, damage nerf/ SU85: the same, maybe no damage nerf) which by the way is another thing and there have been enough arguments about the issue. - You forgot to mention survivability buffs which Panther gets with vet (It's HP gets close to KT) - It is still too expensive (specially as Ostheer since you can get the mighty tiger which wipes infantry left and right), and comes too late, and for both reasons you can not spam Panthers as much as E8s and T34/85s. It had terrible accuracy on the move. - The major problem with panther is the Blitz ability in combination with it's armor which reflects most of infantry snares (Rifle grenades, AT grenades). So it can take a lot of punishment, and then blitz out. The received accuracy buff on that ability is a pain in the ass. I think this ability should be used in offense. At Vet 2 it gets 960 health, which is about the same as a Tiger I, but several hundred less than a KT which has 1440. In: Lobby

Against axis you'll inevitable get to the point where LMGs drop your models before you'll get in effective range, its specifically bad for soviets as conscripts are pretty much AT nades on legs that can cap in late game, USF can at least respond with paras or M1919 but still need to pay a hefty muni cost for that, premium cost compared to what ost or OKW pay. No, they wouldn't, because they have no utility, no scalability, no survivability and no role that wouldn't be filled already by better performing troop or by more universal one for much lesser cost. Unless they suddenly became 0CP call-in, there is no reason to ever get them and the only reason you get them with lend lease doctrine is because you want M5 and went T4. They are garbage no matter how you want to spin it. They have even less value then irregulars. Their survivability is as good as the rest of the 6 men Soviet squads except shocks, while again; are the only infantry unit in the game that still has armor. They come with a HT as well which gives you one so if you went T4 you can still get a meat grinder and forward reinforcement point as you pointed out. They are ~okay~, not terrible, not good/great. They still have the excellent guards grenade And Assault Guards actually have better veterancy bonus's than regular guards. Guards Rifle Infantry (Assault) Unlocks the 'Trip Wire Flares' ability -25% weapon cooldown, -29% received accuracy +40% accuracy, +25% grenade range Guards Rifle Infantry Unlocks the 'Trip Wire Flares' ability +10% penetration, +30% accuracy, -17% received accuracy +30% duration of the 'button' ability, -20% weapon cooldown, -23% received accuracy So at the end of the day you get 5% better weapon cool down, only 11% less received accuracy and 25% more range on your grenades and 10% better accuracy.
