PTRS have the same damage as a Gren Kar with a better profile at mid, and a little worst at close/far.
If you think THAT is overperforming, i guess the same can be said about JLI (which snipes at 75-80% health). RNG guys. You'll remember the times your squads gets "sniped" but not the amount of times it miss.
The problem is the PTRS destroying crewed weapons, not it's DPS vs infantry or vehicles.
The PTRS does 40 damage, the Gren Kar does 16 damage. |
Yeah, not even close.
The PIV battle group exists in OKW but nobody uses it, I wonder why?
Making OKW be balanced around PIV's and StuG's would be kind of silly, since it would make no sense at the Panther was much more common in late 44 and early 45. But I do enjoy the idea of OKW finally getting some affordable medium tanks. |
I went toe-to-toe against players better than me, and i can tell because i have experience with soviets, and won.
OkW is op until about top ~25, where it's relatively balanced. But for lower levels? OKW is overpowered because you can achieve more with less skill and effort.
This is fundamental to the design of the faction, the amount of variation in your strategy you can have as OKW is much much smaller than you can with other factions (except Ostheer), meaning that it's easier to play right and win, but a soviet player who plays right will also win just as much.
What do you think about OKW should be changed? If you think they are so OP. |
yep. which means ppl are keep having problems with this. it not like ppl started complaining about this as soon as it came out. like your little ober thread.
People have problems with this commander because it's a micro test. And the fuel to munitions conversion exists on other commanders, and Luftwaffe supply is arguably better for team games because you can give your team mates fuel and muni for only MP.
|
And you have so much meta knowledge, im beginning to envy you, gonna head off and play some teamgames
It's just that his adamant stance on the lack of power in the IS2 seemed weird, then when you realize he doesn't play the game it makes a lot more sense.
Even a 4's or 3's only player will have a better idea what's going on than someone who doesn't play the game. |
No, i had a much easier time playing okw with little to to no experience.
It's arguably easier to get into than the other factions
Yes? OKW is fairly straight forward, this doesn't mean it's overpowered, just easier to pick up which is how all the factions should be. |
I did, got top 100 after 10 games.
Ouch. The truth doeseth hurteth.
Not really, he has a higher win loss ratio with every other single faction he's played. OKW isn't nearly as OP as people hype it to be. It requires a buttload of micro at higher skill levels to because of the amount of infantry your microing all over the place.
It's arguably easier to get into than the other factions, but at high tier play each of the factions is equally difficult, with Ostheer probably edging out as the most. |
No different to the OKW walking three obers into a maxim squad, which instantly dies, and even if you mash retreat they keep cycling picking the gun up and then the OKW player gets 5 free fuel (and possibly 15 muni)
Massive infantry arriving at a single MG ruin it, period.
It doesn't instantly die, at all. You see them and you can retreat, unless they are quite close you will normally get away. The PTRS problem is that the cons just look at the gun for a second, and then it evaporates.
Also obers are expensive, as in really expensive. Cons are just 240 MP each, and get 2 PTRS's for 60 muni.
3 Obers = 1200 MP, you can get 5 cons for the same price. 5 cons = 10 PTRS's at 40 damage each = 400 damage a volley. Far more than the health of the crew weapon. |
It didn't "finish off" the ISU, it one shotted it. And you can't really avoid the strafe, it follows its target.
People like you are the reason these forums are a joke
The single AT strafe doesn't follow it's target, the CAS ability does. It's the Ostheer version of the P47 |
This issue here isn't MG's dying, it's that the PTRS Con blob can kill them instantly. As in little delay or warning. Not to mention the rest of the crew weapons fare no better. |
