Apologies that I'm a better player than you, but what you'd like as crutches and reality don't correlate very well.
(Also please remember that building Ost T1 is nearly half the price of getting molotovs, 150/25 vs 80/10)
Also, how on earth in your hypothetical did the grens get to half health? The cons got MG's and shot at by grens just getting close and one model was busy presumably throwing a molotov.
Also, the MG is still there, can park itself facing the cons and either force them to move around and focus fire it (meaning grens remain still reasonably unscathed and free to use their better DPS than cons at all ranges)
The only way the axis really loses that is terrible micro or leaving that con flank so horibly open they can emerge literally on top of the MG42 and grens because they are directly on top of each other around a blind corner.
And keep in mind all that oorahing and molotovs has run a bill 35 to 45 MU up for the soviet as well. Odds are a higher MP bill for the fight, too.
Facing conspam as Ost is markedly easier than facing it as OKW simply because you have all the tools you need to help negate it. When playing OKW your only suppresion platform is quite fragile and has extremely poor pathing and your base infantry is inferior to his infantry. You also have no snare.
Really the only saving grace is praying your Sturms don't get model sniped and going to Fuss + Sturmoffizer, but right now Ost early game is way ahead of OKW's early game if only because you have far more options available to you. |
This is gardening gold! How about Volks with Shreks? Jackson do sheep to infantry. Volks squad will just sit in front of it shooting shrecks left and right. If he goes for crash, then you hit him with raketen and other stuff from the second line.
If your sprinting your Jacksons in the range of shreks and racktens then your an idiot. A good player will always keep his Jacksons behind his infantry horde and supported by Scotts and HE Shermans.
OKW has no infantry based counter to the Jackson due to it's mobility and 60 range, the best counter you have as OKW is the JPIV and Panther.
Alternatively as I said earlier if your USF enemy is being a cheeky bugger and blobbing like crazy get a Sturmtiger and make him weep because his Jacksons can't handle a 1280 health unit. |
If you think conscripts are useless then you have never made use of merge squad. Get 2 flame engineers at the start of the game and keep reinforcing them using merge squad and watch as your OKW opponent cries because he can't stop the fire. |
What if it's partially destroyed and you don't have any other crews or Rear Echelons? Your suggestion is against faction design.
Then you lose it because it's a mobile artillery piece, it's already got enough strengths going for it without being able to jump out while the barrage is on cool down so you don't need to worry about the pop cap/MP reduction.
It's fairly hard to pop cap abuse with tanks you NEED on the front at all times, but when it comes to the Priest theres little effort involved, barrage then hop out to get your pop cap back.
|
It's much less cost efficient than the Katyusha due to the long barrage cool down while costing 151 fuel because of OKW's fuel penalty. Getting one is a huge investment.
I would support it just having a regular barrage with a regular cool down instead of the current precision strike mechanic, would make it better at killing blobs instead of being good only for wiping out support weapons. |
They just need to disable being able to decrew certain tanks. Take it off the Priest, which IS easy to pop cap abuse since you don't need to be in the tank while the barrage is on cool down. |
They reacted to stuff like pshrecks, making pshrecks even more effective AI.
Same for AT gun shots.
Basically if everything bigger then rifle bullet landed near a squad, they would shit themselves and hit the ground.
You can have infantry reactions, just tone them to a certain AoE so you don't get shreks and zooks making squads hit the dirt.
Large artillery and tanks absolutely should. |
Come on dude... Are you spamming rifle nades everytime after cooldown? "One" devastating nade per retreat and heal is good trade and for 10ammo.
T3 (4, depends if you count T0 or T1) for 120 fuel? T1 and T2 for 60 fuel? Dude... Srsly? Dude, what's wrong with you? I guess I should stop here... That's the point! Lower income would be noticaeble with normal prices like 60-60-120 but you have 40-40-80 so it's already adjusted for income. How you cannot see this...
If Panther costs 265 fuel, and teching is not cheap how it can be deployed earlier than Ostheer?
2 T34s, 2 ZiSes, 1 Mortar and you already have 25fuel. But if you use scavenge doctrine...
If you adjust the prices of the tier trucks for the fuel penalty 60-60-120 is what you get. Yes the factions teching is about on par with other factions except Ostheer.
Why does the Panther come earlier than the Ost Panther? Because the Ost player is paying a LOT of teching costs to get that Panther while your first tier is free and you go right from your first tier to your Panther tier.
and if your enemy has lost two 2 T34's, 2 ZiS guns, and 1 mortar then they are probably insanely bad and your going to win "free' Luchs or not. Do you also not capture weapons as OKW? Because captured ZiS guns and captured mortars are extremely good.
"Play Airborne or GTFO; you are allowed Infantry on Sittard but that's it"
More than 1 US in 4v4 means you had better win quick
I guess Priests don't exist. USF late game is fine in team games. Your shoe horned into doctrines just as hard as everyone is.
It's been showed that it's not 66%, and more around 70-72%.
Were from? |
If an USF player is able to popcap trick, you have already lost.
And, for instance, the JP4 has good range, good rof, good pen, can stealth with vet, is tiny, etc... It should be nerf!
That is more or less what you are saying about M36. And after that, you are surprised no one is taking you seriously.
The JPIV has about as many weakness's as it has strengths, same for the SU-85. This means they are balanced. The Jackson just has to many strengths an not enough weakness's for it's cost.
This doesn't mean I think it needs to be nerfed, USF is to desperate for reliable AT and a Jackson change would need to come with a buff to the rest of USF's AT options.

Repair the bridge.
And like I said before, most wipes caused by demos have source in lack of enough micro.
Taking point auto in the middle of the point; going straight into obvious demos placement becase jumping through fences is too much micro; same like capping et the edge on the circle. Just 3 micro issue to improve and demos will almost never wipe your squad. Add sweepers to this and you will be safe 9/10 times.
The OKW sweeper has very short range, most of the time you won't detect it till your Sturms are almost on top of it then they get sent into low orbit.
Demo charges simply offer to much reward for to little effort, and Soviets do really need to spend muni on anything so your able to spam them like nuts. Soviets have more than enough blob counters outside demo charges, if anything USF has far more justification for having them.
But as said before either take them out of the game or offer them to all factions. |
