These stats are legit, unlike most of the claims you like to throw out on a whim. Less people playing a faction doesn't mean it's inherently more challenging. (although OKW playstyle does take a lot of practice to get used to) people might just not enjoy it as much. They sure aren't having a hard time winning in team games. Unfortunately nothing has changed about balance in 1v1 as well according to these stats. I would argue the meta needs to settle a tiny bit before we can call it on what the FOTM new "OPness is" as everyone thought the PTRS buff would make Tank Hunter tactics unbeatable, but everyone quickly found out that was not the case. USF saw a huuuuuuge change in meta, I think we need to let people adapt for a little bit. But I also think the reason why Ostheer sits at an advantage is because it got more Alpha buffs than the other factions did. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Can we plz fix the Rifle nade?4 Jul 2015, 00:11 AM Jump back to quoted post4 Jul 2015, 00:04 AMNuclear Arbitor volks can get LMGs via drops and it still doesn't make them decent squads without schrecks. the AI power of volks lies in their nades; they don't get wipes by shooting at things. grens having long range damage AND a long range ability makes them much stronger than if they had a long ranged attack and short ranged ability because 1, long ranged things are better, and 2, they can deal a LOT of damage at those ranges. just having good long ranged damage doesn't mean much unless it's on the level of obers or paras with their respective LMGs; look at grens before the RG buff when maxims ran over both grens and MG42s. Let me rephrase. Grens biggest weakness is close range CQC combat. Right now Grens overall are bretty good and it's done well for making Ostheer early game less brutal. The issue with giving them potato mashers would be 2 fold; 1. Making them much much better in CQC, and making it harder to exploit their main weakness 2. It would give Ost to much building clearance on top of the already excellent Ost mortar making building maps hellish for allies. Rifle nades just need a change to be not able to fire at full range while suppressed and not have crazy insane vet 2 accuracy. We don't really need anything drastic here. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: A Molotov problem or...?3 Jul 2015, 23:58 PM No, you are missing the point the fact that a unit cost 240mp life grens and then purposely designed to perform worst at the game progress is bad design. late game they just bleed man power and waste pop cap. Hence the gaurd spam you see everygame, this has nothing to do with call-ins and doesn't make sense Grens are easier to wipe and drain MP a lot faster than conscripts do. Conscripts are fine if you make use of their abilities. Their description even highlights this "Can by battlefield success with their lives but good commanders will rely on their versatility". Merge squad + flame engineers is excellent, you can also use them to help keep expensive units like guards on the field without raping your MP income. They can make the best sand bags in the game, that alone makes them a fairly useful unit. Soviets also have access to elite infantry, Ost don't. If Grens didn't preform well Ost would be in deep shit. In: COH2 Balance

Volks don't have LMG's, nor do have the long range DPS of grens. Volks are just all around average infantry meant to screen for the real damage dealers and plug holes in defensive lines. The reason why potato mashers on Volks also aren't problematic is that OKW has reduced muni income. Volks are more analogous to rifleman then they are to regular grens. In: COH2 Gameplay

The unit needs a complete redesign. all you see these day are people spamming guards because they perform better and have less micro requirement than shocks Cons: Unlocks the 'Trip Wire Flares' ability +40% accuracy, +25% molotov range -20% weapon cooldown, -23% received accuracy, -25% AT grenade recharge Grenadiers: Unlocks the 'Field First Aid' ability +40% accuracy, +25% Riflegrenade range -20% cooldown, -25% recharge time for Panzerfaust, -23% received accuracy The reason why people say con's are bad is because A: People love to blob and refuse to use good unit positioning B: People don't use sand bags, and C: People don't understand what "bad" is. What con's need is the Molotov to be better, outside of that they are fine. Could the Con PPsh be better to? Sure, I would enjoy it if it increased mid range DPS more. The AT grenade on con's isn't bad by any margin either, it "fires" a lot faster than the Pfaust, although it could use a little bit more pen. In: COH2 Balance
