Let's have a look at this weeks 4v4 data:
Axis total games 2632, with an average WR = .865
Allies total games 1013, with an average WR = .574
Let's say that all those allied games were against top 200 axis randoms (which they weren't of course).
This leaves a shortfall of games played by allied randoms of 1619 games ( just over 61% of all axis top 200 games played).
What does this mean? It means that those games (61% of all top 200 axis games) were either played against AT teams, where the top Axis randoms were able to maintain their winning average and/or those games were against players of a (much?) lower skill (most likely scenario).
Given that a lot of players play random team games, this is problematic for maintaining the game's already depleted population imo.
If the game dies, it doesn't matter if you're top 1% player, in the top 200 randoms of any game mode, a high ranking AT team, or any other. Relic will stop updates for economical practicalities.
So is this thread only about 4v4 now because your chickenlittiling over balance in 2's seems to have fallen right on it's face. |
With only 80 penetration at range and a range of 40, it can be tough to get them vet in anything above a 2v2. I hadn't noticed the reload, but then didn't use them much anyway.
I did have someone use a couple of them against me in a 1v1. They still die to JP4, raketen and shreks fast. Having someone shoot B4 at Panzer Schwerer can be somewhat worrisome, but, in that game on Semoisky, it didn't actually hit anything.
The reason why the KV1 is good is because of PIV meta. A KV1 can easily beat a PIV due to the KV1 being able to bounce the PIV's shots. Like don't get me wrong the KV1 ain't no game winner by itself but you can call it in numbers at 8 CP and for low DPS tanks like the Panther it can be a real problem.
They are better on more close range maps like Trois Point, but Iv never found the doctrine to be bad at all especially with For Mother Russia + shock troops.
No.
then what do you use to counter static arty spam anymore? Tank rush?
If he is constantly having to move his artillery piece around then he won't be firing it. I mean you already can't guarantee kills against Priests and Katyusha's....
Outside of base sector for FHQ and free area denial, but together with the risks involved or inside base sector, like other armies, still with free benefits, but with no disadvantage?
Deploying your medic truck in the base sector is a great idea if you like having 0 map control and losing the game. |
would be a lot easier to just buff the HP of the gun so it can be repaired after getting nuked
Howitzers being able to move around is a good idea independent of the Stuka strike/AT strafe. It would make them a lot more viable.
now since precision strike is gone, i can see some use of 105mm and less ppl using 152mm, however both art is piece of S**t atm, it got counter by any off map art, or rocket barrage, it is average like 1-3 time ability use life span, and it is very hard for them do deal 600mp damage during that time, so they is 1 of the 2 worst mp investment i think, the other one is flak emplacements
Fun Fact: the only unit in the game that still has precision strike is the 152mm howitzer. |
howitzers should be better across the board, and the gun shouldn't be getting instagibbed by 1 click of a stuka strike or AT bombing run
Making the howitzers able to (slowly) move would fix this issue pretty handily while punishing bad micro still. |
Haha I joke. Panzerfusilier
Pfuss don't have JLI crits. |
The issue is OKW is far, far from OP this current patch and the faction relies heavily early game on the forward retreat point to stay on the field because of Volks being outclassed by cons and rifles.
Taking away the forward retreat point would require a buff to OKW early game that might make the factions late game to good, so honestly I would rather just see Ostheer and Soviets get FRP options in doctrines they can chose.
|
Allow OKW to pay manpower to make their buildings hardier.
EDIT: And pay fuel to give their tanks and vehicles veterancy/upgrades. So you can just buy skirts instead of waiting for Vet 2. |
lame KV1 and more lame B4
CAS has made the B4 kinda pointless, but it is very much still a good choice. With vet 3 it's accuracy is borderline broken. The KV1 is also a good steal of a tank, 145 fuel for a very tough T34 with better DPS.
EDIT: I should explain; the KV1 has the same gun as the T34/76 but without the "bugged" reload time and with the very good vet bonus's it gets a high vet KV1 can put out a scary amount of DPS while being fast. At vet 3 is has something stupid like a 2.1 second reload. |
It would be pretty easy to fix the 105mm howitzer, just make it have a very long barrage so while it won't do very much damage per hit it has greater DPS than the other howitzers. The Pwerfer also just needs a durability buff and it's original rocket amount of 16 returned to it and possibly a shorter cooldown. |
Sidenote: Stats this week show 2v2 as having absolutely perfect balance in top 2v2, every faction within a percent.
2v2 for esports confirmed please.
dw I'm sure the OP will come back to acknowledge he was wrong. |
