Ipkai and Ciez, you are forgetting about the most important factor regarding a competitive community which is the playerbase. There might be stream viewers and casual players but only a very small amount of competitive players. |
It wouldn't have made a difference relative to those titles, but the game still would've had a better competitive scene than CoH2 does now, because CoH1's design is more conducive to competitive play than CoH2's is. CoH2's competitive scene is nearly non-existent.
I do usually agree with your positions but this is a pretty arrogant statement tbh especially considering that you haven't played CoH2 in ages. |
Not what I've said.
Reading comprehension.
Let me paint an example for you:
Just because Jesulin is better then you and you are worse then Jesulin doesn't translate to you being a low skilled scrub.
I'm playing on high enough level where scrub noob blobs and YOLO heavy tanks won't work, but not high enough to cheeze every bit of imbalance to my advantage, when I play against equal opponent what matters is personal skill, not balance. Or to rephrase it-balance is good enough to not be deciding factor for there ranks 200-500 where I play.
Fair enough that's what I meant. But my question is why is balance so important to you then ? I'm not trying to troll or anything I'm geniunely interested: Why does balance matter that much to you then ? I mean you might as well improve your skill level instead ? |
Well, you're a better player then me, so the balance wouldn't matter much anyway.
Your AT team mate is reliable, mine gets anus bleed after every loss, takes long breaks and plays like shit when he returns, did some ATs with Acht, but thats too few to match your and Sius coordination still.
Against players of my skill, its pretty much all about skill instead of balance.
You often act like d-bag with ego somewhere in a stratosphere, but I have no problems admitting that you're better player then me, so dueling again wouldn't change much the end result if I wouldn't be lucky
So you admit that balance doesn't matter in your games because of your low skill but you still think that your opinion is the ultimate truth ? Maybe you should try to act a little bit more modest ? Have you guys ever asked yourself why there are barely any good players active in this forum ? This whole discussion looks completely ridiculous to an outsider. |
About that whole skill discussion in 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3 or 4v4:
Sorry to "break it to you", but he is right telling you those modes rely on different kind of skills.
There are so many good and very good 1v1 players who can't pull off anything in teamgames. That's because teamgames require TEAMplay. I don't want to generalize, but most 1v1 "pros" are not exactly what you would call 2v2 "pros".
1v1 depends on a lot of APM (the reason why I dislike this mode) whereas teamgames require a lot of tactical overview, strategic thinking, co-operating with your mates, etc.
Sure, these things (apart from the mate thing) are essential for 1v1, too, but the focus is different.
No TLDR version, sorry.
Sorry for going OT here.
Not true, if good 1v1 players played 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 they would dominate those modes as well. This has been proven everytime 2 1v1 players teamed up. (Siberian+VonIvan, Ciez+OMGPop etc, Jesulin dominated in 2v2 just like in 1v1). The only aspect that only exists in team games is teamplay all the other things you mentioned are just as important in 1v1. |
1's dont require a different kind of skill. It requires MORE skill. Sorry to break it to u.
This statement doesn't make any sense. It's the same game (CoH2) and the amount of skill a gamemode requires depends on how good your opponents are. 1v1 attracts good players that's why it's harder to win in that mode but saying it requires more skill is wrong. |
|
Yea because all the other forum warriors are skilled ... oh wait... |

Veto semoisky, bystra voda and stalingrad and one you don't like, enjoy mostly balanced map pool.
Langres balanced ? Ever tried to win as US against southern Wehr ?
Semoisky Winter as Wehr ? Good luck !
What about Crossing in the woods as US ?
La Gleize as Axis ?
Not to mention the asymetrical maps that give certain sides an advantage way more significant than the faction. E.g. Kholodny or Faymonville. |
