Because if you've heard a gun from some distance, it certainly does not sound as is portrayed in coh2 and coh3 indeed is more realistic here. I personally witnessed a couple of bugs for an example nebelwerfer sounded like it was shooting next to you even tho nebel was on the other side of the map. Tanks seemed too low on volume. Thread: COH3 is going to be a massive flop17 Jan 2023, 11:20 AM CoH2 didn't have the wow factor when it launched. It was a mess, the gameplay was a downgrade from CoH. But it had some new mechanics which kept the game a float. 10 years later you have a great game that has been fixed and updated to as good as it can get. But one thing they never fixed was the gameplay feel which was hard coded from the start. CoH3 Tech test actually blew me away after 10hours as I could really see how fluid the gameplay was. I do care about graphics and sound, but if the foundation is this good, then we just need to give it time. In: COH3 Central

Thread: poll: call in vehicles as a design choice21 Dec 2022, 12:57 PM I probably only had problem with coh2 call in vehicles when they had their moment in a patch which made their timing/power spike too good and it was annoying to play against(like valentine etc). Now, I have never felt call ins are a bad thing, it gives the game some more flavor. You can build more strategies around this kind of play if you wish. It all comes down to balance. What I don't like to see, is a double tank call in's. Single tank only and price them accordingly. Also I do agree that a timing should be set, but not upon death, 3-5 minute cool down after calling in would make it harder to "spam" one certain tank. So my final view: Price them accordingly of their power spike, make sure the timing is not too early (for heavier armor) and a 3-5 minute cool down after calling them in. In: COH3 Central
