On topic: I used CEs pretty much for repairs only. With 10 less mp cost you can also get them some seconds faster to repair that IS-2 or whatever vehicle that´s in a doctrine without conscript- or self-repairs. Thread: ISU-152 Overnerfed31 Oct 2014, 13:15 PM The "lack of other options" doesn´t mean that an overpowered unit like the ISU is justified. An OP unit is going to be OP, no matter what other units are available. Imagine we would make PGs the weakest infantry unit in the game. To "balance" that we would make regular Grens the strongest infantry in game. What happens? The game isn´t balanced, because everybody would build the OP unit. In: COH2 Balance

I think a reload time increase would have been sufficient. Also it used to be balanced in the early stages of the game... why not go back there if anything else fails? In: COH2 Balance

Currently, the SU85s biggest advantage, range, is only a marginal advanatgae. You will get at most, 2 shots off before you have to reverse. Versus Panthers, that is not enough. Don't even talk about using SU85s to fight KTs or Jagdtigers Add a second SU-85/ Zis or any other AT support into the equation and the 60 range (+ spotting) is the best advantage of any non doc tank in the game. Because what happens then: Panther moves up to SU-85 and its support and loses half of its health, it cant circle and dies if it doesn´t retreat instantly. What you described there was some bad usage of a Su-85, without support. And even then it can reverse and the Panther might win with a sliver of health. I shudder if I remember the OP Su-85 right after release. In: COH2 Balance

I´m afraid that´s not going to happen for pretty much any reason I can think of (faction design, balance, historical accuracy, fun). 2) T-34/85s are strong enough in the AT department. The Panther is supposed to counter tanks, the T-34/85 is omni purpose like the Panzer IV. 3) Sovs have Zis guns and the best mines ingame which actually provide decent AT capabilities. 4) Schrecks aren´t imbalanced as you claim. In fact German AT has never been weaker. The accuracy was tuned down and Paks are going to be weaker. The survivability of Allied tanks is going up by this. 5) I predict that Axis are getting swarmed by medium tanks next patch if the Pak nerf goes life. At the current state it´s already possible to overwhelm Panthers etc. with just one T-34/85 call in, if you know what you are doing. There is no reason to increase their performance. In: COH2 Balance

It doesn´t need more armor and it doesn´t need more health. Currently it has the same health as a Panther. The T-34 is a medium tank. The Panther is de facto more of a heavy than a medium tank. The Panther should be a way more potent vehicle. Also keep in mind that the Pak40 is probably going to get nerfed. So no need at all to increase the T-34/85s performance. The Panthers front armor was increased last patch, because you could just move towards the Panther and penetrate its front armor without flanking the vehicle. Also the doctrine offers the mark vehicle ability, which would be overkill coupled with increased performance. A Panzer IV will reliably lose to a T-34/85 in this game. In: COH2 Balance

Maps like Semoiski are unplayable for the German player as almost the whole map is locked down by the P-47. I think the duration of the ability should be reduced. It totally locks any movement of vehicles for what feels to be an eternity on the receiving end. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Soviet T1 unbeatable?19 Oct 2014, 17:34 PM I think the Clown Car and Penal battalion can be dealt with quite easily. Soviet Snipers are cheese. Make a small mistake with the Ost Sniper = lost sniper. Make a mistake with the Soviet Sniper = it has good chances to get away. This isn´t even offset by the faster ROF of the German sniper. Situations where the Soviet snipers escape horrible situations are standard gameplay. It´s frustrating. This situation is even worse in 2v2s, where you can hide them behind your teammate. Here your best bet is getting them with a lucky mortar shell. In: COH2 Balance
