What if we implement a new unit but with mostly AT capabilities. Puma is in commander so out of question it cannot be add BUT something like:

So basicly we would get AT mobile HT, with long range with posibility to kill all light tanks. Good damage, small hp. Yes it would be easily outmaneuver by stuart BUT with help of grens should be good (so it would need some skill to use)

If it's just a Pak on a halftrack, I'd rather get a normal Pak and don't pay fuel.
A Panzer III with the long-barreled 50mm gun would be a better option, I think. Give it decent AT performance with high scatter and low AOE so it won't be great against infantry.

There is some P3 related stuff in the Attribute Editor, so I guess Relic was working on it at some point. But it seems that there's no model.

Yes, that works. But you don't really have to use all of them as long as you have an upgrade or a combination of upgrades that only your desired commander has.

Also, the 6th ability should be one that has the highest command point requirement, since it would require the activation of all previous abilities, yes?

CP requirements are stored in two places: The ability's own requirements as well as the required commander upgrade's requirements. So one of the two should actually be redundant.

Let's say you want to add an ability to OKW Luftwaffe at 1CP, doesn't matter what exactly it is. Our requirements will be:

required_resource (1CP)
required_player_upgrade (attributes\upgrade\west_german\commander\ability\fallschrimjager_dispatch)

That's already enough, because no other commander has Fallschirmjäger. But the upgrade for Fallschirmjäger has a required_resource at 3CP. So you would also need to clone that upgrade, keep the name and remove the required_resource. But that's alright, because the Fallschirmjäger ability also has the CP requirement, so it should still work fine.

Looks like you don't have an attribute file opened, so there's nowhere to clone things to. In the Mod Builder, right-click on your attribute file (should be an .xml) and choose 'Edit'. Or, if you already have the Attribute Editor open, click 'File', then 'Open' and select it there. Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot! I think I can get it to work as intended now. I put a requirement_action for unit_type above the apply_modifiers_action, because I eventually want to change reload time and weapon range as well.

If the apply_modifiers_action has permanent: True, does that mean the mortar will keep the modifiers even if it gets decrewed and then crewed again?

Also, do you know the difference between apply_to_weapon and apply_to_weapon_type for application_type (for example in a weapon_scatter modifier)?

Here's a nice Wehrmacht vs. Soviets replay, it has some great M5 Quad and Sniper usage from Paul.

It's true than infantry-wise, USF usually means Riflemen, because Paratroopers/Rangers/Assault Engineers are not played that much. But they do have quite a bit of variety, especially in commanders. If you have the faction, just try it out for a few matches. If not, you can usually get in on sale for 3 or 4 bucks.

I also prefer Soviets, though. Some stuff about them annoys me, like the mediocre T4 and reliance on doctrinal units, but it's still a great faction.

Wehrmacht is always a good choice. One of the great things about them is that you don't have to choose between having purely offensive or defensive units in the early game (like with Soviet T1 and T2), and they just have a great unit roster in general.

OKW might be a bit strong, while Brits have quite a few problems at the moment, but that will (eventually) get fixed, so just try them out and see if you like the general design of the factions.

Just keep playing and improving, it's completely normal that, as a new player, you might lose more often than you win. The important thing is that you don't give up so easily!
