First off this thread is not a hate thread, so please refrain yourself. Second off, I was the British player who posted this as a demonstration on what was the best/worst case scenario for this doctrine.
so next time, don't clump 4 mortars in one tiny location or if you see you or your opponents doing that, expect that person to lose and that person should uninstall soon after.
As it was mentioned, this doc hardcounters "Trash players"
I don't think this issue has been since launch. There was some Veterancy Stack Issues that were a few patches back. I believe this issue to be a knock on of those fixes.

To be honest, since the blog says this has existed since the lunch of coh2, I am more worried it may totally break the balance (because the game has so far been balanced based on that), and fixing it may result in a chaos! hope it won't happen
hope the balance team actually and properly test everything balancewise before releasing the fix
MG-42 is definitely best MG in game. It has super-wide arc of fire, fast supression with ridiculously big AoE around of fire target, high damamge even at long ranges and more than that - ability, which can destroy even light tanks, like T-70 or Stuart!!!
Isn't it too much, specially last one? I mean, Wehrmacht may not use AT in early game at all, because Vet 1 MG-42 can counter any light vechicle, from M3 and WC51 to AEC and T-70 (which is T3 unit for 70 fuel, lol).
Meanwhile, USSR has to use Maxims with smallest arc of fire in game, which requiers 10 times more micro from player, has low AoE of supression and no AT functions. Early USSR has serious problems with AT at all, specialy with those new Sdkfz 222 and Luchses. Only early AT for USSR is ZiS-3, which can't be really effective against fast cars and AT nades, which you have to get for 25 fuel, while Wehrmacht getting more powerfull (look at stats) Panzerfaust for free. That's what I call "Balance".
So, here we pointed our problem:
1. MG-42 should not be able to destroy light vechicles and tanks, like it do now. For that, Wehrmacht should use another units, like Panzergrenadeers or same 222 cars. They all are good in that.
So, I suggest to change that "AP flame rounds" ability with something else. It is impossible to watch, how your T3 T-70 tears apart with 1-2 bursts by T0 Anti-infantry unit MG-42.
P.S Yes, we know about DShK MG with same impossible AT abilities, but it is doctrinal one, and it putted in only 2 doctrines. One of them (defences) is 100% useless and I never saw somebody using it, so we have only one real doctrine with DShK (Lend-Lease), which is definetly not enough for such requierd for USSR unit.
Yes MG42 is the best mg, even though it's not the most expensive but how the Hell Ost is supposed to survive without that? it's totally fine
This ability allows the base 25 pounders fire counter barrages for free with reasonable success. It can be quite effective especially in 3v3s and 4v4s, in where these artillery will never stop firing. This means they will not stop giving value. In my opinion it should not be free. My proposal is that while 25 pounders have this active the munitions income should be reduce by 10-25% each. This will stop giving free value and give the player the need to give slight oversight on these buildings.
Here is a video that shows the best/worst case possibility. Note the player's I was against were not top quality players. The top screen shows it hitting the targets while the bottom screen shows its constant firing at time 4 speed. These two screens are not in sync. The total actual length was 6 minutes starting around 11, when it could have reached far beyond 30+ minutes.

Rate of fire increases suppresion by 4% AND dps by 4%.
Meanwhile accuracy only and reload only buffs DPS, suppresion isint really useful since MGs pretty much instasupress now.
which is why u don't want more suppression (rate of fire) for ur maxim/mg42s, cause they arleady have good enough suppression. however. u can't compare the reload and accuracy bulletins as reload bulletins have the least outcome.
