It's historically accurate and not really unfun
Agreed, but the fun will be on the side who will use it... . See this used against you then tell me you had fun. |
One question bothers me though. So OKW will have no shrecks on any infantry unit, doctrinal or default.
Why not let the player decide, based on what opponent does, to give the stg package upgrade or the shreck upgrade?
Or create a new unit, panzerjager or whatever, with a high mp cost that comes equiped with a shreck?!
I think for now, one of these choises would be a safer approach. My two cents.

Yes please. Humme or Wespe. With devastating effect on emplacements, please. |
The only thing concerning about these changes related to Axis side is that OKW will lose a good part of its AT capabilities. Which could not seem such a big problem at first, but if we paying more attention we may see the problem.
Early AT capabilities will rely on faust, who is a snare, so we can realy think at it as a serios AT capability except for light vehicles. Meaning verry light vehicles. Secondly, raketenfailwerfer should turn around faster, have a wider arc of fire, be more resilient in terms of crew or something. Otherwise, alone on the field it cannot kill anything before being decrewed and stolen.
Late AT capabilities will suffer also. Shrecks were a natural addition to the scarce number of OKW tanks on the field. We will probably see a Panther trying to deal with 3-4 T34s when 2 T34s will probably be enough to seal the deal with it.
I'm not necesarely saying volk blobs were fine, they were as fine as bazooka blobs. Which...are staying the same.... |
Obviously Luvnest is a noob and we should all listen to Johnny...
Didn't I say the same thing....?!? Oh well.... |
Stop spamming "I hate shrecks" topics. Shrecks are not the problem - if there is a problem at all - the carrier is. |
Cheese is love, cheese is life
....Aaaand we are in a constant search for it no matter if we play Axis or Allied. And this is normal, because we are humans. Freud would understand. |
Yes you re right, it s not easy to play as britsh in early game. But the problem is doctrines of brits or allies..Imageine playing against 2vs2 and 1 usf and 1 brits, using the tactical support and p47 together..What can you do for surviving from air strike? i dont say change the brits playing style, change doctrine skills of over uber powered bull shits..
If you think surviving against tactical support and paratrooper doctrines is verry difficult because of air strikes, imagine a paratrooper doctrine + vanguard doctrine combo. They both have deadly air strikes.
So, it can get nastier than this, believe me ... |

who used this strategy is 1vs1 rank 39 for WM, rank 22 for OKW.
I saw this once, and that was a verry good build and strat, especialy if you know how to mine and where to build one or two bunkers. It worked verry good on that 1v1 but that guy also knew the map as if it was his home. |
I disagree. Muni free dual shreck squads would be a no brainer to build every time.
Really? Losing it to other infantry because they are 4 and besides shrecks they would only have 2 rifles = sucking hard at AI chapter?
Remember you will hardly need to build other units too, specialised on AI, tier up, build vehicles, if your mp bleed will allow.... |
