I would agree that almost all infantry units suppressed are combat ineffective but it only takes one to get a lucky shot to kill the gunner to cause the chain reaction. The higher the DPS of the squad the more often it happens. The gunner should be the last model killed imho that would make MGs more effective in General. it wouldn't really make sense if the gunner was the last one to die, but i think it would be better for gameplay. the chain reaction of soldiers arming the gun and then getting sniped off is horrible. It essentially means wiped squad from high dps units like obers. In: Lobby

The KV-2 sucks for what it costs, and the fact that it's only in that commander makes it worse. Wish it was available without a doctrine in some way. I agree that the KV-2 should be in another commander or is stock; it would make the game more fun. The doctrine is gimmicky, but is also fun, and i find that it is pretty competitive in 4v4. Thread: KV-2 needs some adjustments16 Dec 2014, 02:30 AM I think this unit needs some kind of buff. The KV-2 is an assault tank/self-propelled gun that you can call-in in the Soviet Industry commander. Unfortunately, the commander involves conserving every bit of manpower possible due to a manpower penalty imposed by selecting the commander. At 630 mp, the KV-2 is tough to invest in; the player will probably be scraping the barrel by the time he or she gets enough CP to call-in the KV2. Besides being very expensive to call-in the KV-2 could use some kind of buff to its performance. Its gun is decent, but the tank itself is fairly fragile. It would be nice if this unit got its health slightly increased. Thanks, and please share your thoughts on this unit In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Heavy call-ins, a much debated subject. Possible solution15 Dec 2014, 18:16 PM this idea might have to be rethought due to the Soviets reliance on call-ins. Their stock units are not very good, so the faction relies on call-ins to be effective. Limiting call-ins to one would be a buff to Axis factions. The Axis factions have a lot better stock options (you can win games without choosing commanders). Limiting call-ins would be okay if Soviet stock units got a buff In: COH2 Gameplay

The only time its worth it is vs OKW when you can burn down the flak HQ when they have almost no at 15 minutes into the game(too much at and it won't work) vs ostheer 2 paks will shut you down or a pak and a vehicle or even just 1 pak well placed if your lucky. The tank scales terribly doing mediorce damage with low speed and no at, it cannot respond to threats easily around the map but lacks the armor and damage to be a real spearhead vehicle. T34s are safer b/c they can kill a luchs and can avoid freevet shrek shots from volks with range and speed. even coming earlier Of course it is worth it if your opponent gets no at units 15 minutes into the game...like every other tank doesn't really punish them harder than any other tank though It really needs something changed so its faster OR has more armor and damage so it can decide if its going to run around the side of the map or actually be able to tank some damage in the middle of it. Cost is not an issue really it just fufils no useful role better than the alternatives it should be a viable lategame unit in terror and anti infantry tactics somehow but its really not In: COH2 Balance
