Hello all, I am wondering in what circumstances should I choose the Counterattack tactics commander? I mainly play 4v4 team games. Will I be gimped lategame without an ISU/IS2?
I mainly use
1. Mechanized Support for the ISU
2. Shock Rifle for Shocks and IS2
Thanks |
Good suggestions voltardark!!! |
You guys need to tone it down some.
Noun came to the forums, he said what information he could, he read your posts. No need to get all verbally assaultive. Its not like he alone makes all decisions with the game. You shouldnt be angry with him for things you don't like or need improvements.
I don't think the problem is Noun came and posted. The problem is that he posted some usual PR fluff even though there are clearly major issues with the game/patches etc. Constantly saying "We value your feedback, we value the community, or thank you for your support, etc" is insulting to the players. When horrible bugs continue to persist/created, when major issues are not discussed, when communication is sorely lacking, it is mockery that Relic throws some PR BS into your face.
I know this isn't the official forums, but even at the official forums, the frequency of posts is lacking. |
Relic should just take away its ability through buildings and obstacles. That way, players actually need to maneuver it instead of just sitting it behind a house and shooting at things. |
Blitzkrieg is one of the main reasons why the call in meta is so bad. With Blitzkrieg, dedicated Allied Tank Destroyers, SU-85's and Jacksons are so bad and are countered by varsatile, strong tanks that are supposed to be countered by the dedicate Tank destroyers. Jacksons and SU-85's are not able to make use of their extra range due to blitzkrieg closing the distance far too easily and then just 1v1'ing the tank destroyer and then driving away.
On top of the insane engage potential, Blitzkrieg and especially combined with Panzer Tactician are just completely get out of jail free cards that does nothing other than to promote and reward bad, unskillful play. Axis armour is already have so much more health, armour, versatility and versing inferior Allied AT. There is no reason why the heavy Axis tanks need Blitzkreig. It's silly on Panzer IV's, let alone Panthers Tigers and King Tigers. The state of balance and dynamic would be so much better if Blitzkrieg just didn't even exist. It's not like Soviet tanks actually get any kind of bonus at vet1.
Wo, you basically read my mind!!
Not sure how it is for USA, but blitzkrieg basically invalidates Soviet AT. Soviets rely on the SU85 and ZiS, which require time to reposition (with the SU85 being turretless). Blitz allows German vehicles to quickly flank your AT or to close the distance fast to invalidate range.
Its synergy with Axis vehicles and abilities is also shocking. Panthers and Tigers already have decent speed, armor, and weaponry, adding blitz to that list makes it horrendously unfair. Blitz combined with smoke is also very unfair |
It was a good match comrades. The scum Axis sent their horde of Ostruppen against us. However, Soviet might held the line and pushed the fascist invaders back!!! The fascists counterattacked with armor, but our valiant troops heeded the words of Comrade Stalin, "Not One Step Back!!!". We knew that there was no land beyond the Volga, so we held. It was a furious fight for the VPs throughout the match. Thankfully, the Stavka dispatched numerous ISU-152s to our aid. Our mighty tank commanders shouted, "ONE SHOT, ONE SQUAD!", and so it happened. Our ISUs smashed the Axis in the center while our comrades capped the side VP's. In the end, the strength of communism and Comrade Stalin carried us to victory.
Enjoy this match, comrades!
FEATURES:
1. Ferocious Ostruppen push in the beginning
2. Intense and close match
3. Deadly armor battles |
And B4's. I love B4's, i live the #b4lyfe
it does a lot of damage, but it is immobile and can easily be recon+stuka'd. I would say isu is more reliable |
Don't bully the Suchka! A little weak and blows up alot but it does the best it can!
Jokes aside Im not suggesting you 'spam' any type of unit. But a wall of fire coming from several of the earlier stated units will knock out any tank. However often they will just retreat because hey engage warp drive and smoke away. Still they cannot push.
Thats until they snipe your TDs with Jagdlol and Elephant.
Changing the ISU to an AI roll, it can be the basis for a combined armoured force. Knocking out infantry while the other units can be focused more on AT. Im just saying hopefully, this will not have an all too adverse effect on 1v1.
But sure even with that you also might need to bring up the other AT capabilites of the allies to fill that gap. I was hoping however that this gap could be closed by a change to the abilites and attributes of the heavy german TDs.
@NinjaWJ: Agreed. I wrote about that a while back, right now any allied TD force are in danger of being picked apart by blob of shrecks, running up fireing one round and then pulling back again. Demos can guard against that for a while.
Soviet infantry shouldn't be dissmissed outright in such situations, but yes they aren't that effective dmg dealers. Wouldnt however an ISU Anti-inf only ISU convering the main TD force atleast help with that?
@Snipester I think it has been established in this thread a long time ago that we have to find a way to make sure any balance change focused on teamgames doesn't effect 1v1.
I don't know if that will help (referring to changing the ISU to anti-infantry). German armor is still verty strong. SU85 plus Zis really can't cut it when anything above a PZ4 hits the field. Even a straight up tank fight without AT Axis infantry is going to be a loss for Allied vehicles. The ISU152, however OP it is, is the only unit that can keep Soviets viable in the late game (at least in 4v4). If you take out its AT component, Soviets are going to collapse harder than they already do now. |
That actually made me chuckle. A few days ago it would've probably annoyed me, but I've just given up on the game. I like the drama though. The way how you nourish the toxicity in the community is entertaining. Quite enjoyable.
I guess I work at relic but I don't understand your post Milka. |
I really think they have to communicate more. Give us an idea of what you are doing. How hard could it be to churn out a post a day on various websites about what Relic is up to? Obviously, some stuff is off the table, but cmon guys!!!! |
