Try out a vet 3 blob of 76mm M4s in cheatcommands and see how they do. You'll be surprised how they delete everything.
So a veteran tank will do it's job a little better but will still get dumped on by Panthers, PaKs and any other sort of AT is OP. Got it. No need to say more. |
90% of the I would still just get Jacksons because seeing a Pz IV in team games is very rare and Jacksons, especially in pairs, would still be easier to use against a Pz IV than two M4A3 76s. |
General changes:
- put Sherman 76mm in T4 (meant to fight mediums instead of M36 Jackson)
ah yes, stock 76mm blobs with CalliOP will be very healthy for the game.
Understand the faction before you change everything about it please.
Yes. The dreadful M4A3 76 which can just barely fight a Pz IV. It'll definitely break the game.
OP - if you want the M4A3 76 as a substitute to Jackson in fighting medium armor you'd need to change it enough so it can at least deter Panthers. Otherwise noone will even look at it in team games. |
This was brought up multiple times already, and main question is. Does USF\UKF need stock rocket arty, besides the fact that other factions have it? You can give reasoning why soviets need it, why ost\okw need it, but what USF\UKF cant accomplish or what is that gap that only rocket arty can fill for them.
And why not give UK and US stock rocket artillery or any kind of heavy artillery? This is completely ignoring the fact they do need heavy artillery in team games to dislodge camping germans. |
Has the Scott received any changes other than the barrage and auto fire range? The patch notes are so vague it seems like those were the only changes being done but it feels so incredibly weak I have a feeling like those absolutely dumb auto fire changes were pushed through too. |
I didn't mean to say that reverse is better than retreat. I just meant to point out that retreat isn't necessarily as flexible as reverse in certain scenarios.
It's better than losing an AT gun, especially when there are other units to micro. |
Care to elaborate?
Let's see. Retreat is more often than not better than reversing because they move faster when retreating than reversing. It can also reverse pretty well now with the latest changes. So yeah, he's right.

The problem isn't all artillery, just heavy artillery. It was AIDS back in CoH1 and it's AIDS now. Severely limiting usage of heavy artillery, especially in team games, would do a lot to make the game better. Light artillery like mortars are fine and should be strong like they are now because they don't have the same wipe potential heavy artillery like Calliopes, leFH or Stuka zu Fuss have. Also I'd argue leIG borders on being too good, especially compared to current M1 howitzer. |
True, in fact They are even worse.
They are much worse because they can burst down anything that's not a heavy tank in a single volley while PTRS whatever will just do chip damage. |
Yes, Raketenwerfer is absolutely terrible, especially when it can be garrisoned, can be retreated and isn't as vulnerable as the wehraboos make it out to be. |
