Thread: Partisans are utter garbage20 Dec 2014, 23:42 PM
The doctrine have absolutely no problems with munitions, so how nerfing them significantly would help? I meant more like allowing them to place A LOT more mines. Maybe up the mine placement time. Allow them to plant mines behind enemy lines more. They could also be given a weapon upgrade, like PPshs replacing all, but the random weapon they start with. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Improving myself in 1v1 as USF20 Dec 2014, 23:00 PM
This^. I also started with 2v2 and have now moved into 1v1 with Soviets. I find the most success is when I spread out and attack everywhere. Especially against OKW, since that faction is made to blob and has no non-doctrinal MG, it makes it very tough for them to guard multiple areas. Also use USF AT gun to take out SchwerPanzer HQs they have more range than the Flak cannon, although you need to move infantry up to sight for them. In: Strategy Desk |
Thread: Partisans are utter garbage20 Dec 2014, 22:48 PM
I have never played with them (smart enough not to buy the Doctrine), but I have played against them and I know they plant mines because someone already stated that in this thread. What I am suggesting is changing their mines to be super cheap, but self damaging, like IEDs. Or allow them to summon dogs which can run mines under tanks and see if PETA gets angry about virtual dog limbs... In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Patch 08/12/1420 Dec 2014, 22:44 PM
as soon as you can after the holidays will be a new patch with the new Soviet units and ostheer DLC of the year 1944?? We don't need new stuff, we need what we already have fixed. New stuff just lines Relic's pockets with money and creates more issues for MP. Ardennes Assault was okay and brought a little spike of players back to the game. But if Relic's strategy is just keep releasing overpriced SP campaigns to "boost" multi-player numbers for a few weeks; it is going to get old real fast and drive more players away. Besides which how many new players played Ardennes Assault and then bought the USF faction for MP, only to realize that it was the hardest faction to play and in some cases the least rewarding? Win in less 20 minutes or lose. You want big tank battles? Sorry! If the Tiger gets out it stomps your Shermans, want to play with Rangers and Cavalry Rifles? Sorry! Here are riflemen and more riflemen, enjoy. I don't want to be bitter, but...look at what you have done Relic. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Panzer II Luchs20 Dec 2014, 22:34 PM
I think the luchs is about right for its cost. Other light tanks should be elevated to its level or get cost reductions. Actually this could lead to new and interesting way to improve the overall meta. Make the Light and Medium tanks better, then players will want to build them and naturally wont be stockpiling fuel for an "early" heavy tank. Improving doctrinal tanks will also slow down call-ins leading to a move away from build T1 then sit on fuel for whatever at 11CPs. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Partisans are utter garbage20 Dec 2014, 22:27 PM
What if they gave them the ability to plant really cheap mines (like 20 munis), but because the mines are home made they have a chance of exploding if your own infantry/tanks run over them? That would mean although you could punish enemies for entering certain areas you also have to micro more in those areas to not hit your own mines, but you could plant a lot of them due to cheapness. Thread: Which KV-1 Intel Bulletin?20 Dec 2014, 22:21 PM
After playing with both, I think I like Thicker Skin more. Panthers don't have the best moving accuracy and I think Thicker Skin helps a lot with Panthers missing more as they try to circle you or back away. |
Thread: Teammates Who Don't Build AT20 Dec 2014, 13:59 PM
Yeah, I am just raging at the overall awfulness of the match making system, I would rather wait an extra 10 minutes to be ranked with an ally and opponents of equal skill; then be matched in 2 minutes with a under 1000s ally and against top 100 opponents (yes this did happen). There is also the problem of Arranged Teams being matched in the Randoms matchmaking and that just gives an unfair coordination advantage to that side. In: Lobby |
Thread: Teammates Who Don't Build AT20 Dec 2014, 05:27 AM
Well in retrospect to my last post, I just played a game with a USF ally who built too much AT. 3 AT guns and Zooks on all his riflemen, no bars or grenades... Needless to say Obers walked all over his infantry and AT guns, leaving him with nothing when the Panthers started rolling into our base. The fact of the matter is, a lot of players, play the campaign or against AI, get a lot of rank and playtime, but then hop on random search, get matched with same rank people, who have spent more time facing actual human opponents, and have no clue how to properly build and micro against non-AI opponents. Some are casuals who jsut want to build their favorite units and throw them at the enemy. The truth is that Relic needs a real ladder system, so the casuals can play together and the competitive players can play together. When the two mix it produces unsavory results for both sides. Casuals get rolled and bitched at by competitive players and competitive players get frustrated with lack of proper build and cooperation from causals. In: Lobby |
