With all the doom and gloom surrounding the upcoming UKF faction; I was wondering what people would prefer balance wise for the UKF on release. This is all considering Relic's previous track record of releasing factions not in balance with the rest of the meta.
Would you prefer he UKF to be released Overpowered and (given Relic's track record) not properly patched for 6 months? Leading to spams of "nerf this unit" threads and allegations of fanboy being thrown around for 6 months.
Or would you prefer the UKF to be released Underpowered and (given Relic's track record) not properly patched for 6 months? Leading to spams of "buff this unit or add this unit" threads and allegations of fanboy being thrown around for 6 months.
Unfortunately we are out of free hats.

Great comeback game on Minsk Pocket. If you ever thought about throwing in the towel early watch this on how to keep trucking to the very end. 1v1 OKW v. SOV Featuring Howitzers, Panzer 4s, Jagdpanzers, SU85s, T34/76s, Maxims, Mortars and lots of Guards and Panzerfusiliers. In: Replays |

The current Maxim though is a nice alternative to Con or Penal spam. Maxim's still suppress pretty darn good and can push away early Kubel or MG42 through its superior damage. The cone is its biggest drawback and that is because it is so cheap. I really think the cone size is what is throwing you off and making you think it doesn't suppress blobs well. Most decent players will bring a large force to the front then spread them out to prevent MG pin and arty wipes; in essence it looks like a blob, but really is just efficiency for moving a force to the front. Thread: Undo Soviet T3 before T4 requirement15 Aug 2015, 20:45 PM
I disagree, T4 is fine and better for team games, where mass SU76s might not get you the best results. The Katyusha fires more shots and fires faster than the W-Stuka. The W-Stuka is better for building demolition and hitting that one emplacement that is greefing you and the Katyusha is better for area denial and shaking up larger defensive areas and has a shorter timer in between shots. Plus the new Vet 1 ability is very similar to the W-Stuka's normal fire. On the whole I find Katyushas pretty on par with W-Stukas and remember every unit's performance is still tied to player skill. For the cost though, I love getting Katyushas even in the new teching system. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: All tanks and vehicles should be tied in teching15 Aug 2015, 13:43 PM
Current system is fine and offers a good mix of call-ins and teching tanks. It is cool that Soviets have to build their T34/85, but can instant call-in the M4C Shermans that they got pre-built from US. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Undo Soviet T3 before T4 requirement15 Aug 2015, 13:33 PM
The Katyusha has a lot of RANGE, you don't move it to the very front of the line. It is an artillery piece that is meant to be used behind the line. The OKW Walking Stuka dies to anything with a cannon too and it costs a ton.... In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: How to deal with blobs15 Aug 2015, 13:30 PM
The maxim is fine, it is cheap can come early and with 6 men is very survivable, plus the suppression boost helped it out a lot. The 50cal could see some survivability love through either a 5th man or removal of its received accuracy. The problem with giving allies MGs that are just as good as the Germans is that their early game spam can cap points then their MGs could make an unpassable wall. Supported by their early game vehicles and the Axis factions wouldn't stand a chance. I have also seen plenty of Allied blobs be able to run through MG fields to flank them. Riflemen blob can deal overwhelm MG42s and the MG43 has peanuts for damage. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: More durability for light tanks15 Aug 2015, 13:21 PM
The Stuart isn't OP, but it is in the best position it has ever been. Most of this thread seems to be L2P issues. Halftracks are very cheap so them dying in two AT gun hits is fine, all the light tanks that require actual fuel invest take 3 AT gun hits to kill. In: COH2 Balance |

In this replay I went Luchs into Panther against USF player who went with Armor Company. I usually go to P4, but with the M10s I decided on the better long range AT from the Panther. Luchs was just a beating on this guy due to him teching LT first. I would have been more hesitant to get a Luchs if he went Captain. In that case I probably would have skipped the Luchs and just rushed out a P4 or a JP4 with only 1 M10 on the field to reasonably counter it. In: OKW Strategies |
Thread: How to deal with blobs14 Aug 2015, 00:18 AM
Ehm nope, axis have lot of arty too. If we compare soviet plane strike and arty strikes with OST planes and arty strikes. We will see that OST have more amount good abilities then soviets. About smoke, only rifles have smoke nades and shocks, because without smoke they are useless against mgs. Also, of course axis need to controls thier mgs, but we are talking about crew survivability and 50 cal is worse in this way then mg42 or mg34 crew. OKW has some of the most expensive and least effective arty in the game. Ost has some good plane strikes, but they are expensive for a Munitions starved faction(sans CAS). Soviets have the best mortar in the game and the 2 best Howitzers. USF has the only mobile Howitzer, and some of the most powerful artillery strikes in the game. All of this is getting off-topic though. Soviets deal with blobs with Maxim supported by ML20, B4, 120mm mortar, or 82mm Mortar. Drop that shit right on those Volk/Ober/Fusilier blobs and watch the MP bleed. USF 50cal can slow them down and allow your LMG/Bar/FT Riflemen to lay the hurt on them. In addition the Mortar HT isn't incredible, but isn't not too bad either, getting one can help out. Both Allied factions also have access to Demo Charges, which Axis do not. Just learn to bait and PUSH THAT PLUNGER! In: COH2 Balance |
