New infantry skins (especially Ostheer ones, the grenadiers look awfull) would be something I'd like to see, but I can only fear they're going to be paid DLC or the "play 100 hours and maybe you'll get something you like.. or not!"-drop system. Also, the idea of giving commanders is good, too bad I already have both of them (either due to last years event or due to preorder bonus). In: News

Honestly, RTW2, or any TW game for that matter, makes every battle you play feel important. If you win/lose it'll have consequences for your empire, which isn't really the case in CoH2. They did try it with Ardennes Offensive, which worked beatifully, too bad they ask such a high price for it. It would be a nice feature to include in multiplayer. (In a way similar to Heroes&Generals' online play with Assault Groups) But as usual, they missed the oppertunity, as many times before. I've already lost the hope that one day Panzer III's and T-26's (or other early-war tanks for that matter) will be playable (as some wreck versions are actually in-game) I'm even starting to lose hope that they'll allow modabilty to that degree in the forseeable future. Anyways, the only reason I'd play CoH2 to any meaningful extent would be because ROme2 is total shit. And that's remarkable. Well there you have it people: Relic are indeed Axis fanbois! If they were Axis fanboys they wouldn't have fucked up the Ostheer infantry skins to the current extent. Which is still not solved by "mods" as you can't modify/add skins. In: News

Thread: Volksgrenadier - er what ? 29 Jun 2014, 14:35 PM Volks are good when you combine them with Mgs. They are good at long range, but if you let riflemen get close, they'll lose. So use a mn34 to suspress the rifles and keep them at long range. Volks can then snipe them off, or at least take the hits while you use a LeiG 18 to finish the enemy off. Also, Volks gain cold immunity with the advanced weaponry upgrade, so you can attack through deep snow in a blizzard and hit the enemy from a unexpected location. I find Volks rather effective if you use them in conjuction with support units, and keep them at long range. In: COH2 Balance
