as others have said apm definitely is not as important a statistic in coh2 than it is in starcraft, mainly because the game is just slower, and less about timings.
however, i think there is a correlation between having decent apm, and being able to manage all the engagements on the map. a lot of people fall back on blobbing, and just attack moving with their blob cause thats easier, but you can still improve your apm by individually ordering squads into cover, or micromanaging multiple skirmishes that are happening across the map.
having map awareness also generally increases apm since your clicking aroudn everywhere to make sure everything is going well, instead of just looking at one screen. |
meh, 30% bonus damage is not a joke. in fact, its a lot.
the only change that i would like to see is the effect ending after the plane gets shot down. it makes sense (sort of) and adds a way to counter it
also l o l at people thinking soviet late game is bad. |
Well, now with the current update, the zero arty is absolutely useless. It's 300 ammo but seems now so weak (nothing comparable with what it was before, even in combo with recon).
It seems the only options left is stuka, I usually build two stukas when my opponent gets b4 to guarantee its one shot destruction of 600 mp, I know that's 200 fuel investment but it seems to be working for me. I also usually build a flak HT to counter their recon flights they usually use to spot our troops/armor, it kills it in 2-3 bursts so quickly.
if they build the b4 on edge of their hq sector, im pretty sure you can still call the arty in outside of the hq but make it so the AoE still touches the b4, and the arty will land on the b4 that way. also you really shouldnt double up on stukas, its almost always a better idea to save that fuel for a panther or even kt. |
guys why is usf late game infantry STRONGER than axis infantry |
if u want 1000% efficiency use incind rounds on light vehicles to inflate it. |
You really only get the B4 because of how strong it gets at vet 3. Considering how expensive it is to "spam" recon + precision strike you really want it to hurt if it hits. A precision strike, on contrary to what some people in this thread tells you, doesn't always hit anything because guess what? The opponent is moving his units because he knows there's a B4 on the field.
I said on the first page that I'm fine with a nerf to the B4. It will just make this commander one of the many useless ones in the Soviet arsenal. The thing is that it is stupid to solo nerf this unit without changing anything on the Axis counterpart. If this unit is nerfed then something has to be done to the JT/KT at the same time.
its not always the best idea to use precision strike on advancing infantry, for reasons you mentioned. personally i find it much more useful in taking out support weapons since a direct hit is always a guaranteed kill and its really unlikely the enemy player will move them. and if youre firing at mid range, the scatter on the b4 isnt all that bad, its pretty good actually.
as i've mentioned before, recon alerts the enemy that youre looking for a target to shoot, so theyll be annoying and try to move units around so theyre harder to hit. its a better idea to just use the vision you already have to pick off targets. |
Really fun game, lots and lots of back and forth, lots of planes, lots of armor, 40 something kill ml-20, ends in a climactic battle. well played to both sides. |
you do have a window of oppurtunity to move your weapons as soon as you hear the distinctive launch sound. try to separate them in different directions. you need pretty quick micro but ive done it before. try not to get into the habit of mass moving units, but individually moving units in different directions to limit casualties.
since the stuka is really accurate, even moving a little bit from the explosion zone will allow your weapon teams to survive. |
or you can just use the FREE, LOW cooldown barrage. precision strike isnt everything. |
well, team games are kind of a joke imo. balance is wonky, the game reaches the end game much faster since caches are abundant, and if you lose control of both fuels its basically game losing because youre gonna have to deal with 4 players worth of armor.
when playing in a party its so difficult to actually lose in 3v3 and 4v4. ive done some pretty retarded shit in team games with other good players, and its just a steam roll, wether we play allies or axis.
also you cant really compare 2 ml-20s to 1 b4. compare 1 ml-20 to 1 b4 or 2 ml-20s to 2 b4s, cause they cost the same. |
