You could make your own custom asset with some number splats in it.

Is "deep snow" an on/off thing, or does deeper make infantry move even slower?

I just put it out on the Steam workshop for people to experiment with.
Currently has three splines for snow maps:
Two that show the footprints of an individual.
One that shows a generic "trampled snow" pathway.

Thanks (again). There were two problems:
1) The example on the wiki shows leaving the attrib file field blank in the wizard, so it didn't create one.
2) I dislexed over the commas in the example .terrainmaterial file.
Now it builds; ready for the smoke test!

Does anyone know what exit code 4 means? I can't find a log file.
I'm trying to build an asset pack following the instructions on the Essence Engine wiki. Keeping it simple, one splat with the .mod, .terrainmaterial, and the four .tga files. The builder's output echos the command line, which correctly references my .terrainmaterial, then nothing else except the failure message.

You can also use the wizard and include the files from the other faction, then go into instances/skin_pack/ and edit the .xml files to remove the instance_reference line that has the name of the faction you don't want.
But for German skins I've just been including all the vehicles from both factions and leaving the .xml alone. The result is a cross-faction skin that you can equip on either faction, and if you use a mod or scripted may that lets you get vehicles from the other faction, everything will have the same skin.

Thanks. I was hoping you can paint the snow layer, but apparently it will all look like whatever texture you pick in the atmosphere editor.
But I am working with a thin layer, so maybe that will allow some variety.
